  2. That's up to you. I would not tell them, if it were me. It's none of their business especially this early in the relationship. I eat out most every night. I order carefully and only eat about 1/2 of what I order. You can do this.
  3. Thanks Ladies!!! I always appreciate the help
  4. Where is the recipe for this? It sounds good and I've been searching, but can't find it.
  5. I'm so glad all of you have followed the diet to the letter without putting ONE bite of something in your mouth that isn't on the " approved list". Stop being judgmental! Trust me, you'll try something at some point just to see what if anything happens. I would rather eat a few bites of something once in a while than to go on a binge.
  6. Well ladies, let me enlighten you a wee bit. Some flab will occur regardless depending on how much you lose and your age. It's just a fact of life. I am 58 3/4 old. I have some flab and yes I work out with a trainer no less, eat 70 - 80 grams of protein. Get all my water in, take my vitamins and do what I'm supposed to and I have some flab. I also have mush butt, a few wrinkles, and sagging skin. What I don't have anymore is diabetes, high blood pressure, or a shorter life expectancy! I figure the flab and wrinkles are Merit badges. LOL. Even though I don't like them, I'm thankful to have them.
  7. Why are you starting over? Have you had surgery yet ?
  8. How far out are you? I'm 9 months out and I can do that as well. I just remember..PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN
  9. I can eat candy bars and cookies...well most anything, but just as an occasional treat.
  10. Hi all! First let me say, I'm 9 months out and have lost 80 lbs.. I saw my surgeon today who only wants me to lose 20 more, not 50 like I had planned. Anyway, I discovered a protein bar that tastes pretty good and makes a good late night snack. It's made by Kellogg's. it's called FIBER PLUS PROTEIN chewy bar. I had the peanut one. It has 10 gms. Of protein, 170 calories, 8 gms. Of fat and 9 gms.of sugar. I realize the sugar content may be a wee bit high, but all in all, it's pretty good.
  11. Has anyone been told their pouch has enlarged? I had a scope done and the Dr. Told my husband that mine was enlarged. I don't see him till Wednesday, but its very disheartening.
  12. Does anyone know much about post op weight gain? I am 9 months out and barely losing. I had an open hernia repair done 2 days ago. I couldn't hardly eat at all for a couple days. Yesterday I got to eat just a little. I got on the scales today and I've gained 8 flipping pounds! I am so depressed, I can't hardly see straight! Any help is greatly appreciated!
  13. I know everyone is different, but I would like to have an idea of how many carbs to shoot for each day. All I was told from my Dr. Was 60 - 70 grams of protein. Would just like to hear what you all were told, if anything. Thanks all!
  14. Thank you. I appreciate the help. The miles to go website is new to me, but really looked like it would be helpful. I also had never seen the cookbook before! Great advice! Thank you!
  15. HELP! I'm 9 months out of RNY and for the last several months I've been gaining and losing the same 5 or 6 lbs. I'm scared to death I'm going to fail yet again. I'm going to ramp up my exercise, but I feel like I need specific menus to get me back to losing again. I'd just like to find a book or something that would say , " here is what you eat today, how to cook it, and what to buy at the grocery store." Do any of you know of anything like this?
  16. I just wanted to pass this along. I've had som trouble finding a Greek Yogurt that didn't gag me. Finally have decided that. Yo plait Greek 100 is the best. If you really want to make it good, put in 2 packages of Equal sweetener and stir it up! Yum, so good!!!
  17. No pain for the most part. It's about the size of a cantelope right where my incision was. I had an open surgery. I told my Dr., that I look pregnant and at 58 years old, that's not too cool. Lol
  18. Well, no good deed goes undone. I found out today I have a hernia the size of a cantaloupe. Isn't that grand? I have an OPEN repair scheduled for February 5 and while they have me asleep, they are going to check out the integrity of my pouch.
  19. I felt your pain, literally! I didn't vomit though, although I was praying I would!
  20. Wow! I wish I had that. So far, the only thing I can't tolerate is the Jr. Frosty from Wendy's. Everything else works ok.
  21. Gallbladder has been out for years. I just ate too fast and I don't get a full sensation till a few minutes after I've eaten, I just over did it, and boy did I pay for it. That pain was worse than labor pain. I won't do that again. Thanks all for your help and the tips. I do appreciate it.
  22. Thank you all for your help. It's beginning to ease up now. I did a lot of praying too. Just when I think that maybe my surgery didn't work, I was reminded that yes it did!
  23. It's so severe I don't know how much moving around I can do ,
