  3. This is horrible. Im so sorry and sending prayers your way. Stay positive and have faith in God. She'll pull thru. This is a miracle weekend!
  4. I was sleeved april 9 and still on liquid diet. I miss eating so much . I just want something. Is anyone else experiencing that or have they?
  5. My surgeon and all the nurses I saw said no ibuprofen, no advil. Not only can they thin the blood but they can irritate the stomach and can cause ulcers
  6. I think everyone is a mess lol. Its a lot of emotions. I was sleeved april 9 and believe me when I woke up I regretted it. But as the days went on I feel so much. Theres still obstacles.im on liquid diet and missing being able to eat. But I know its just for a short time. Im so happy I got my sleeve. Good luck on your journey
  7. Good luck and welcome to the losers club
  8. Erin ur doing good! Hang in there. I had to cook for my family to and it is pretty hard but just stay positive and itll soon be over and your new life will begin!!!
  9. Congrats! Ur doing good. Keep it up
  10. Call dr. Dont play around with ur health
  11. Goldissa, listen to your body. If u start having pain by all means use your pain med. But I wouldn't suggest just taking it out of fear. When they took my pain pump away I was so afraid all the pain was gonna hit me at once. But since then except for some tylenol for my back ( hate sleeping on my back) I ve taken nothing for pain. Pain meds are very useful if u need them but also addicting. When I had my gallbladder out a few years ago I took vicodin every 4 hours but I think it stalled my healing procese. It made me sleepy and lazy lol. But just listen to your body everyone is different. Maybe try waiting 5 hours to see how your feeling. U may surprise yourself
  12. Dont rush it. If u cant get fluids down and have to stay another day then so b it. Better then forcing yourself. I vomited after surgery....wasnt pleasant
  13. I cant wait to try this. Im still on liquids until next wed but this may b my first meal. Cant wait!!!!!
  14. Good luck. Just relax. You'll go in the o.r looking around next min you'll b waking up in recovery room. I was sleeved last wed and so happy. The next day was rough for me with nausea but they gave me zofran thru my iv and it helped instantly. Hardly any pain. If u get nauseous after ask for some alcohol wipes. They had me sniff it and it helps with the nausea. Good luck .post when your able
  15. Next wed I get to start pureed foods. Very exciting! Does anyone have some good ideas? Things theyve tried and were able to handle?
  16. I was sleeved april 9th. I had black nail polish on toes and fingers . It wasnt a problem. I guess every surgeon is different
  17. Wow they let u take sips already?
  18. Glad your doing better. I cant start protein shakes until tomorrow. Cant wait
  19. Good luck today. Just a lil positive note. I know how youre feeling. All of us who have beened sleeved have been there. But with my sleeve on april 9 and my 5 day preop diet so far ive dropped my bmi 5 points already. Think positive !
  20. Good luck everyone. I just had mine last wed. I must admit the day after surgery I had wish I didnt do it. But by the 3 rd day was feeling pretty good. Didnt have much pain. Nausea was my enemy but cant complain now. Just remember the pain and discomfort will pass soon. Do as thr drs tell u and you'll b ok. Good luck
  21. Jdillon. Mine felt alot like the gallbladder pain. Except I think the gallbladder was more pain. I havent had much pain at all. Havent taken any pain medicine since the morning after surgery. On my right incision I do feel a little pain when sitting or standing but only a second. Thr first 2 days I was so exhausted probably from the anesthesia and pain pump. But feel good now and I was sleeved wed.
