  5. I have not had many issues. I have vomited twice, when I ate too fast, and didn't chew well. Learning my sleeve has been a journey, but not a miserable one. I have of course eaten more than I should a few times and paid for it (indigestion and pain that lasted a few hours). I have since learned when to stop, break and see where I am in 10 or so minutes. Keep up the good work and be thankful that you are not suffering from issues many others have

  9. Woot! Best wishes on your journey.
  10. Grats! you look great, might as well wait on the new clothes, as you won't be in them long
  11. I am on day 6. As others have said, I cry a lot. From pain, from frustration, from watching my family eat real food that doesn't make them cry out in pain after one babyspoon bite. I know it will get better and that I won't always spend every waking moment praying for death. Even taking pain medicine hurts. Today must be the dreaded gas in the shoulders day. It is kinda nice that something other than my tummy hurts......but I will be happy when nothing hurts. I haven't weighed in a few days. Last time I did I was down a total of 19 lbs. I was only 2 lbs away from the 200s for the first time in forever! Hang in there guys.....it can't get any worse!
  12. Sleeved on 10/22. Failed first leak test....as in the dye never went into my tummy....just sat on top which was super painful. Rather than get an early start on fluids, I had to take an extra day to let the swelling go down. Finally allowed fluids today. Got 24 oz in for the day
  13. Woot! I go today. Here's to a speedy recovery for us both.
  14. Yay. That's awesome. Grats
  15. The consequences for the caffine and liquor, other than the addiction factor, is an increase in the likelihood of getting an ulcer. Drinking after you eat will push the food through your sleeve faster, meaning you will be hungry again sonner...which leads to more calories and weight gain. Also depending on what you put in yr coffee, if anything, that and the liquor are just non-nutritional calories.
  16. Good luck guys, I am soon behind you (tomorrow).
  17. My Nut said to have a 10:1 ratio for calories and protien. The Greek yogurts I choose have 140 calories (fat free) and 14 grams of protein. If there is fruit in it, you can blend it or just choose the kind without for on the go.
  18. Thank you for another happy story. I do to, hang in there.
  19. You did not mention what you are drinking, be aware of drinking calories as well. As you stated this is a tool, and any tool used improperly will not work as it is intended. Seek professional help for food addiction issues if that seems to be a problem. Best wishes. You can do this.
  20. Thanks for sharing, I am 2 days from surgery and suddenly there is a bunch of posts talking about the misery and regret. Glad that there is light at the end of the tunnel even if it is a rough ride to get there!

  22. My Nut suggested this, I am 5 days till surgery, so I am not sure how helpful it will be, but I bought 1 oz and 3 oz sized bowls and small spoons. Glad to hear you feel it works
