  1. I just ordered it on Amazon. Thanks!
  2. This is the same dress my sister is looking at for her wedding in April of next year. Is that the color yours will be too? What did you end up doing about the size? When is the wedding this month? We're supposed to go on November 23rd for a fitting. I'm getting sleeved Nov. 4th so I'll just be starting my weight loss. I'll hopefully need a way smaller size by Feb/March but they're saying it takes so long to get it in....ugh.
  3. Good gracious! People are crazy! I haven't had my surgery yet but so far people ask "can't you do it by yourself?" My response is "have I?" Ugh.
  4. Ewww. Can you mix it up with reg temp Water and then warm it up after it is mixed?
  5. I already ordered some. How did you like it?
  6. I actually haven't even told my family yet! BUT I was pretty interested in it back in Feb. and asked my mom if she'd support it and she said no. This time I actually made a consultation appt. and have followed through with it. I've been playing with the idea of not telling my parents at all but I just hate to lie all of the time about it. So today I sent my dad a link of the sleeve surgery being discussed on Dr. Oz. He loves Oz and he actually said it is a viable option. I text and told him I sent him a link but I haven't heard back. I told him it was something the dr. has recommended for me. I'm wondering if he'll just have my mom talk to me about it or pretend it didn't happen. I'll be eating pureed foods during week three. Of course, I can still do that in week four also. Your suggestions sound good. I'd like to be able to just take a few bites and not have to blend anything up while there. My manual says no more than 2 oz of meat and 1 oz of other food for a meal that week. I'll know more on what to expect after my pre op class on November 1st I guess.
  7. This will be great when I'm there! Thanks for sharing!
  8. Saving! Thanks for posting!
  9. I'm being sleeved before the holidays too. I know I could wait but I just don't want to. Think of the weight we could lose before the end of the year instead of waiting and gaining. So I've been wondering about this same thing. My surgery is November 4th so I'll be further out than you and on a soft to regular food diet. I know turkey will be fine but it will be my first time having it. I don't know if I should mix it with mayo to make it moist or what. Of course, I know I'm way ahead of myself but I'm still wondering. And will I be able to take a bite of dressing. All of that will be new to my sleeve and you're only supposed to intro one food at a time.....so I don't know. Plus, I won't want to get sick since my family isn't supportive of the whole thing anyway!
  10. I'm feeling the same things. I'm glad we can post about it here and get the much needed support we need!
  11. My surgeon will fill out paperwork for short term disability for two weeks.
  12. I know!! Do you have any posts that you are following that have helped you?
  13. I have a date set for November 4th. Of course, I'm excited but scared to death. I'm reading all that I can. I'm so scared that I'll fail with the sleeve as I have with everything else I have tried. What made it really different for you? Thanks! April
  14. Thanks for starting this thread! Great replies!
  15. What are y'all buying to have around after the surgery? I'm trying to pick a protein shake to get. I'd like a liquid to grab in mornings when heading to work.
  16. I understand! I'm scared too!
  17. McButterpants, I saw this question on your blog: How am I going to be successful when I have failed so many times in the past? How have you answered that?
  18. Thanks!! I actually planned the cruise LONG before I planned to have the surgery. Derbymama, I worry about failing too!! I eat now when I'm not really hungry. So I'm scared about after the surgery.
  19. Good luck everyone! How exciting! Keep us updated!
