  2. Thanks you Are kind. I'm out post op day 1 , everything is good but I'm going to warn you now about the gas pain. That was hurting but If you are willing to get up and walk then it should get better quickly. I had to do a mile 30 laps around the nurses stations.
  3. My start 288lbs heaviest 311lbs cw 272ish... smallest maintained weight was 164 lbs. Thanks I'm excited about tomorrow!
  4. Tomorrow morning I will be having the sleeve procedure in Burbank, CA. I was wondering if anyone else is having theirs done tomorrow? I'm nervous, excited, anxious, and happy...what a mess of emotions!
  5. Have yo u tried complaining to your doctor about the skin in a way where it makes you seem depressed. I know the nurse told me to start complaining as soon I start losing weight. She said that the will cover it if it is a psychological complaint

  8. Mines is September 20th and I am getting nervous.
  9. I work in a hospital and I am gifted woth total honesty...which meant that everyone who asked why I was going on medical leave, got the truth. My coworkers, friends, and family all know about this. Surprisingly I got a lot of positive feedback and some advice from many who have done it and some who have known someone close to them who did it. So I am glad that I was able to tell them!

  11. Hello everyone! I am new to this support group and just briefly tell you my story. I am having surgery on September 20 in Burbank California. I began looking into the surgery this year and to my surprise was approved by my insurance. My heaviest wt was 311lbs and currently am 276lbs. I began my preop liquid diet and mentally preparing myself for the changes. My fam and friends are supportive, thankfully. I also am lucky to have a close friend who had her surgery last year ( she honestly convinced me because she is doing amazing! !) I am excited to know that I am not alone in this journey. I look forward to reading the posts of this community!
  12. Hi I'm new on this. I have surgery scheduled for this Friday, September 20! I'm excited and a bit nervous for the changes to come. I'm looking towards a healthier tomorrow! Good luck!
