  1. Am 1 week post op and have 3 more weeks of full liquids. Considering the 10 day clear liquid and now I am sick if pudding, chicken broth, cream of anything, jello, pop cycles not to mention protein shakes. Help me with suggestions, please. All I can think of is fried chicken!
  2. I am not a crier but one week out I have started crying, not loud boo hooing but huge silent tears start rolling over the slightest thing. The look on my husbands face was total shock. Anyone else experience anything similar? Tiki
  3. I was sleeved on 11/15/13. So far I have lost 12 pounds. I return to work on December 2nd. I am eating full liquids and protein shakes and all is well for me. Wish you the best. T
  4. Was sleeved last Friday. As of today I am down 12 pounds. I have 28 more before reaching wonderland so I am challenging myself to start 2014 there and never looking back. Anybody want to jump on the challenge?

  6. I live in Dallas. Today is day 5 for me. Just got out of the hospital yesterday. I stayed a little longer because of spasm in the esophagus. Feeling great now. I like Ungury everything. Their Vitamins and Protein powder. Today was the first day I could get in all my liquid. And only drank one and a half shake. It was an all day task. Sip sip sip. I don't go back to work till the first week in December. I don't really know how that will work but will make do somehow. I feel amazing so I have the tendency to over do. Need to rest more. Can't wait till I can eat meat! Wish you the best. T
  7. I have lost 3 cans of Crisco since I started on the liquid diet November 6th. Surgery was on November 15th. So far so good.
  8. I can lay on my stomach with very little discomfort. I didn't know it was a thing either. I am still in the hospital. What bothers me is gas and diarrhea. And I am ready to go home. Waiting on the doctor.
  9. When you get those super sharp gas pains that feel like a knife going through you quickly take a deep breath through your nose and blow it out of your mouth. It stops the pain instantly.
  10. I have the same unbearable pain. My doctor said it was a spasm in the esophagus. He told me to only micro sip room temperature liquids. No hot and no cold. I have been doing that and it is much better. Ended up staying an extra night in the hospital because I couldn't get in enough fluids. Hope to go home tomorrow.
  11. Had my surgery on Friday, November 15th. I am still having trouble getting down fluids. They make me nauseated. I have tried a pop cycle hot tea cold tea and water. Suggestions?
  12. Today is my big day!! I am scared, excited, confident, etc... Praying all goes well!!

  14. I have survived the 10 day liquid diet with diarrhea ever single day. I am so glad that that phase will be ending at 9:00 am tomorrow, November 15th. I am, however a little nervous about this surgery: mostly around the Anastasia, getting a leak or buyers regrets I have said my prayers and given my heart to Jesus so tomorrow I am going to close my eyes and jump into the deep end of the journey to skinny. Will post as soon as I can tomorrow with an update. Tiki

  17. Today is the first day I have been able to post on this ap
  18. Today starts my journey of 10 days of Clear liquids before surgery. I have been up for 4 hours and so far so good. I had a bottle of Water, a very small bowl if green Jello, a carton of muscle milk (per my doctors orders) a cup of coffee (first day without cream) and working on a cup if hot tea. I can do this!! Praising God for strength and a sound determination!! This morning I weighed, took my measurements and my husband took pictures of me in a sports bra and sweat pants. Right now I am to embarrassed to post but I hope someday to show my before and amazing after! Rocking on till November 15th!! Tiki
  19. My date is November 15th too!!!
  20. On Wednesday I start on liquid only. No meals for 10 days. I can have 3 protein shakes a day, broth, pop cycles, jello and apple juice. 10 days is a long time. I hope I can do it!!!
  21. Am so nervous. I am having faith I can do it. Anybody have tips for success?
  22. I am scheduled for November 15. Went to the doctor today for pre op work up. It is becoming real and a little scary.
  23. My doctor just told me what to have on the pre diet. I bought the protein drink he suggested, muscle milk. I don't start the diet till next week but I tried one today. Oh my gosh!!!! I have the worst gas. Any suggestions? I can't live 10 days like this!!!
  24. My date is November 15. I haven't told a soul except my husband. I just can't bring myself to discuss it. I am afraid of offending close friends and family by not telling them but I just haven't been able to.
