  1. Best wishes, and congrats! Keep us posted on how everything goes. I will be there in a few weeks. Be well !
  2. My surgery with Dr V isn't Til November 1st. Pls post letting us know how it went. Good luck!
  3. Super exciting! Wishing you a speedy recovery and weight loss success!
  4. Good morning, Today's weight: 219.2 Down 1.8 for the week = just under 7 lbs in two weeks. 35 days left on challenge 36 days Til my surgery
  5. Oh I just saw the surgery on Friday thing. WOOOOO HOOOO! So exciting! I still have 37 days (sigh)
  6. Make sure it's on wheels and DO NOT hesitate to ask people for help lifting it as needed! My doc says nothing heavier than a gallon of milk for first two weeks.
  7. Wow, I better get a new PCP then b/c mine is super negative about my doing the procedure and going to Mexico. I figured I will opt to buy more pain meds there. My Docs package only covers 4 pain pills. Weird, but I'm hoping I won't need much. I prefer to be up walking than laying in bed anyways. And I figured I'd go to ER if anything goes wrong. But yeah, we need to get our follow up lab work. Oh I will probably just go to the same negative doc and prove that I made it home alive and show her how successful the surgery was. And hope that she's proffessional enough to do her job! It's true, we definetley need follow up care back home.
  8. Omg, I was thinking I was the only one. My surgery is still 5 weeks away and lately I'm finding that I really only want to eat protein, primarily liquid. Certain foods are making me nausios (that never happens) and wait... You'll love this... I'm even getting heartburn or acid reflux (haven't had that since my last pregnancy, 21 yrs ago). I was thinking I'm having sympathy pains for all the other ppl in the forum, lol. But as another poster said: it's our minds and body's changing... Getting ready for our new lives! Crazy, eh ? Good luck on your special day.
  9. Congrats! Woo hoo! Wishing you all the best. I'm still 39 days pre- op, wishing I was there right now. I wanna git r done! Are you sippin and walkin ?!
  10. Awesome! Congrats and Happy new You! Great job on your pre op weight loss. Very inspiring. I'm still four weeks Til my 2 week pre op diet.
  11. Anyone know if the Marriott offered free wireless Internet? What about Mi Doctor Hospital ?
  12. What is a fast track, where do u get it and how much do they cost?!
  13. I don't have either of those phones but I'm lmao at the sarchasm. I have Sprint and have determined that my phone will be going into Airplane mode while in TJ to avoid outrageous fees the will be charged for any texts or calls, including incoming. I'm just hoping that my hospital and hotel have free wireless connections cuz I'm just going to "say no to cell phones" while in TJ. Good luck to you!
  14. Very interesting responses. Serendipity happens...that's exactly what I'm hoping for. I really only have pain in a couple of fingers, definetley planning on going sugear free and glueten free post op...hoping my overall wellness improves. I hear that a lot of our pain and swelling is directly related to dietary intake. And of course less weight equals less pressure on the joints, so theoretically things should hopefully improve. Though apparently, not always the case. Be well, everyone!
  15. Awesome! Instead of eating candy you'll be making a possitive change for a better life! I will be driving to Mexico on Halloween day. My surgery is the following day. Wish u all the best. Happy second Birthday, on Halloween !
  16. Wow that's GREAT. Dates are always more enjoyable when we feel good about ourselves. You have a lot to be proud of. Congrats! :-)
  17. Ok how do we post our weekly updates? I'm down from 226 to 221
  18. Sounds good. Are there a lot if carbs in it though? Are you adding injury protein powder or something?
  19. I inched too. Researched like crazy. Every inch forward made it more tangible. Paying my deposit was a huge step. Started buying little things I would need etc. I am still 43 days pre op but my bags are packed and I'm soooo looking forward to starting the new chapter of my life. Ready for change. Ready to be sleeved and all that it entails. It's all worth it to me! Wish it was tomorrow, so ready !!! Good luck with your journey!
  20. Sounds like I shouldn't buy them because they are prescribed by doctor in hospital, right? Ok thanks everybody...good to know!
  21. Ringo4... That's awesome. Are you a man or a woman? Lol... Maybe I should put my glasses on, I can't figure out what your avatar is. Who's your doc?
  22. Oh wow, interesting...I thought we couldn't swallow anything whole in the beginning. I'm still six weeks pre op. so I don't need to crush it up , eh? Did you wait to see if you even got the heartburn or did u just start taking it as a preventative right away? I never get heartburn, but I keep hearing everyone talk about it post op.
