  1. [quote=holidayexpressions]I hate artificial sweeteners. I had a rough time getting my fluids in early. I broke down and drank Gatorade. It was either drink Gatorade or nothing. I was in the same boat...I tried the Powerade Zero but it was too sweet. Ended up with Gatorade G2.
  2. Does the Prevacid help with heartburn/acid reflux? I tried Pepcid AC but haven't gotten any relief. I have also tried Tums but nothing seems to help.
  3. I take Pepcid AC extra strength before I eat...and if necessary I pop a couple of TUMS afterwards.
  4. I've actually been using a straw since I've been home from the hospital and I'm 2 weeks out. I haven't had any problems with air or gas in my stomach. I personally feel better when I use a straw, it helps control my gulping.
  5. I can't find any recent posts from anyone in San Diego. I know I can't be the only one out here????
  6. Ebonisekim you look great. Do you have a problem with excess skin? If so you hide it VERY WELL! I have been wondering that with a lot of pictures I see. Keep up the good work!!!
  7. This may be a dumb question but what is this "drain" that everyone keeps taking about?
  8. Ha I though I was bad. I was sleeved on Aug 28 and have a cruise in October...hopefully by then my life will be back to normal.
  9. I am also looking forward to sleeping in my own bed!!! I haven't been able to lie down comfortably and have to sleep propped up, much easier to do this on the couch so that's where I have been since Friday, the day I was released. Also, I know we aren't supposed to use straws but I find that it makes my liquids go down much easier!!!
  10. I was sleeved on Aug 28...I have stomach pains when I eat which makes it really uncomfortable. I also can't stand cold drinks but they are my favorite, especially since its so hot. I am already sick of the liquid diet thin and ready to move on to some REAL food. If I can at least get some seafood soon I will be satisfied. Other than those complaints I'm good. I went for my post op yesterday, 1 day shy of a week and I was already down 14.5lbs!!!
  11. Thanks for the info on the cold liquids! I was having that painful issue and was wondering why. It makes perfect sense though. But with this weather we are having in Cali it's kind of hard to stay away from cold drinks. I personally hate winter foods (soups, chili, etc) in the summer time. So right now I am feeling miserable. BUT this too shall pass.
