  3. I'm not a light weight yet I've "only" lost 17 lbs since being sleeved 10/2. My goal was 25# for month 1 and I have 8 days to get there :-/ I hope to break 20#...
  4. Looking for a pick me up...how did your weight come off after the dreaded stall? Did u drop a lot? One pound? I'm just (not so) patiently waiting for my stall to break...
  5. 4 days post op and you are eating refried beans? That's probably not going to go down yet as there is probably still swelling. Also, you may be drinking too fast. At four days out it would have taken me 1-2 hrs to get down 4 ozs. Slow down and back off progressing until things get easier. Call your surgeon if it doesn't get easier each day.
  6. Have you been on your job for greater than 12 months? If so, FMLA will guarantee your job. They cannot ask you what you're having done either. That is a federal law. Now you may not get paid for all the time off depending on if u have short term disability insurance. If u don't try to stay home as long as you can possibly afford to. Your surgeon should be able to give you a notice for up to 8 weeks. Stop talking to your direct supervisor and start talking to HR! There are laws to protect you.
  7. I'm in! New sleever here so may be aggressive. CW 245 Gw 225
  8. I am a Pharmacist and I sit most of the day 2 weeks was just right. I'd say you will need 3 weeks unless u get a return to work with lifting restrictions/light duty.
  9. It also depends on your surgeons calendar...if hes booked when your approval comes in that pushes your date back!
  10. Thanks for the recipes! How far out were u when u started full liquids? How much blended soup were you eating at one meal? Was it an easy transition?
  11. my bad typing on my phone it is 0157!
  12. Aetna has a standard policy (google aetna clinical policy bulletin 0257) most companies will go with that...however an individual company can stipulate whatever they way.
  13. ??? Meant to ask in Question form!
  14. Did you all strain it after blending or just eat it as a blenderized soup.
  15. Your surgeon did your surgery without approval first???
  16. No pain the last couple of days but these liquids have me feeling defeated...I have 2 weeks of clears. I don't feel like there's enough nutrients for me to even function. Just trying to avoid re-admission to the hospital at this point. Everyone who was sleeved around the same time I'd on full liquids and preparing to go to mushies next week...it's depressing!
  17. I'm one week post op and today has been extremely emotional. I have been really down.
  18. Happy one week anniversary! I'm down 12 lbs, I don't feel any pain from incisions. I am struggling to get my goal liquids in. Just 6 days until I get to make my own soup! Can't wait for that!
  19. Praying for healing for those that had their surgery today! We have a lot of surgeries this week!
  20. My back is killing me...it's gas pain...
  21. Surgery went well for me too...having some trouble keeping liquids down but that has gotten much better! I should be going home tonight!
