  1. Does anyone get that feeling like you need to burp while eating but you can't because there is food in the way?
  2. I'm counting the days too. LOL I haven't had too many issues with gas thank goodness. My incisions are itchy but that just means that they are healing. Haven't been in hardly any pain. I am blessed. Now I'm just waiting for this whole thing to be over so I can get back to being normal. I'm losing weight but I don't know how much. Haven't weighed myself yet. Stomach is still a little bloated but it's going down. I can't wait for the end result.
  3. I will be glad when I can eat regular food again! Ugh!
  4. Still trying to adjust. I need to get back on more fluids. I feel better on them. Other than wanting a salad food is the last thing on my mind! The thought of it makes me sick. I do hope that this will pass someday. Anyone else feel this way?
  5. I was nervous at first. Had even changed my mind. But then I figured how much better off I'd be if I did it. I can't wait for this part to be over so that I can heal completely and get back to normal. My incisions itch but like I said that just means their healing. I still get tired and need to rest but that's a part of the healing process. I haven't been in any pain. Just felt uncomfortable at times. For you newbies this will all pass in no time. For you pre-op people everything is going to be alright. If I can do it you can do it too. Just hang in there.
  6. If it's itching that means it's getting well.
  7. Congratulations to those who are losing weight. I haven't weighed since my pre-op appointment. I need to weigh in now.
  8. Anyone get that feeling of needing to burp but can't? I hate that! Can't wait to feel completely normal again. As far as drinking sippy cups works wonders! It controls the amount of fluids you take in. I'm learning that slowing things down is the key. Plus taking in smaller portions. That's what the challenge is. Now it's time to get more active. I still get tired but I'm trying to do more. I hope that everyone is doing well. Good luck to all of the pre-ops. It will be here before you know it.
  9. I know I will be able to eat normal food real soon. But it's just so hard at times. I finally got over the discomfort of drinking. Now if I can do the same with eating. I hate that bloated feeling. Luckily I haven't been sick. I heard horror stories of people eating too much and getting sick.
  10. Hey everyone! It's been some days since my last post. I am doing well since my surgery September 13th. For the most part it has been easy except the occasional crave. How do you combat the cravings? I haven't weighed myself but I can tell a major difference in how I feel. I still can't wait to get past this point. Did anyone ever go through buyer's remorse? I did at first but as I get back to feeling more normal I feel better. I thank you all again for the words of encouragement and advice. It has helped more than you can imagine.
