  1. Thanks for responding. I'm still on the fence.
  2. Has anyone skipped the puréed stage and went from full liquids to soft solids?
  3. I'm sorry you're going through this. Prayers up!
  4. Pre-op by far. My old stomach was not feeling it at all. Post-op I haven't been hungry my challenge is finding a liquid protein source I like. The shakes I used before surgery are now disgusting to me.
  5. Love your collage! And great job working that sleeve. Lookin good!!
  6. Hmmm that seems just right. Idk maybe your body is taking its time adjusting.
  7. Man I can't wait to be able to say this. Good job!
  8. Hey. I'm six days out too. I has my follow up Appt this afternoon. I'm down 5 pounds. What's your food intake?
  9. I've felt that same way. It'll be a week for me tomorrow.
  10. Whoo hoo! I'm glad everyone came out ok.
  11. I didn't feel anything when I was under. They anesthesiologist said, " you're going to feel a sting." And that was all she wrote. I woke up in recovery in A LOT of pain!! And I couldn't fully open my eyes (picture a newborn slowly blinking). I was also very nauseous and kept saying "I wanna throw up. Just let me throw up. Why can't I throw up?" All of this seemed to last maybe 45 minutes but turns out I was in recovery for 3 hours! They had a hard time getting me to calm down and controlling my nausea and pain. Keep in mind before this surgery I had never been admitted into the hospital, never even had an IV. And I thought I had a high tolerance for pain…apparently not.
  12. Welp I got through the liquid diet sans sandwich. And I have a 14 pound weight loss to show for it. Surgery went well but I was in no way prepared for the pain afterwards. Whoa baby did it hurt! Thank God it quickly subsided I'm 3 dats post-op now I only took my pain meds once on the night I came home. I'm just really really tired and can't wait to get back to feeling normal. Thanks for your support!
  13. Hey all. Overall I'm still really, really tired. I don't have any pain unless I move the wrong way. I was telling a friend that everything just feels so new. I can feel every lil sip go down and it's weird. Now I finally know what people mean when they say they no longer like Water. It's like I can taste every mineral in it…yuck! Today I was able to get in a Protein shake! However, I'm quickly growing weary of the whole sugar free taste of everything 100% apple juice is my BFF right now. Other than that I'm bored and can't wait to feel normal again. How's everyone else?
  14. Thanks Jil congrats to you as well!
  15. Hey all. The pain was more than I expected!!! I've been urinating every 2 hours and thankfully I didn't have a lot of gas pain. I have however had my fair share of nausea and my face is hot but I have a normal temperature. I've walked the hallways six times. Passed the swallow study and just had my first meal: 1/2 Popscicle, 2 cubes of Jello, 5 spoons of broth and 3 oz of Water over the past 2.5 - 3hours. I'm being discharged at 6 pm. I hope everyone's experience continues to improve.
