  1. Ain't it awesome?!?! That's one of those feelings you never forget. Congrats!!
  2. Thanks guys. Best of luck to you all as well.
  3. Sending love & restorative healing vibes to everyone who got sleeved today . Please follow all of your doctors orders and keep us posted on your progress when you can.
  4. My final appointment with the surgeon where I sign my life away is this afternoon. All of a sudden I'm a nervous wreck! It came outta nowhere. Maybe it's because I have to choose someone to make decisions for me if I'm unable to. I think it might be because it's about to really become official, like "no turning back, you're getting on that table in two weeks" official. I was expecting to feel this way two days before surgery not two weeks before. Anyone else feel this way?
  5. Yeah I'm not having a food funeral or last supper but I am making the most of every meal ie everything has to be delicious I'm not settling for Cereal or Peanut Butter and jelly this week. I'm trying to eat one of my favorite foods at every meal but not over indulge. I keep telling myself, "you've eaten this for thirty years you know what it tastes like, you'll have it again next year but you'll look and feel oh so fabulous while doing so ????."
  6. NewMe- man your 2 week diet is super generous.
  7. I've got a protein sample station on my kitchen counter. I'm trying to find one I really like. I'll have to try and locate the Muscle Tech you love. And your recipe does sound delish. Congrats to you. I hope all goes well tomorrow!!
  8. Hello Sleeve Siblings, There are several threads for everyone getting sleeved in the month of Oct 2013. I post in those as well but I wanted a consolidated thread for those of us who are getting sleeved on October 16th. I'm super excited about having the sleeve surgery!! My ten day liquid diet begins next Sunday. I can have six Protein shakes, clear broth, and all of the Water I want . I think that this is going to be the hardest part for me. I'm dreading that I'll feel like I'm starving all day for ten days. Hopefully ketosis kicks in day one for me, though it'll probably day three a girl can hope right. Do you have a pre-op diet? When does it start? What does it consist of? Fears? Anxiety? Feel free to share whatever you'd like.
  9. Good choice! I was going to say that it sounds like she's insecure, unhappy with herself, and needs to feel superior to someone. Your weight loss is a threat to all three of those things and she's scrambling to maintain her warped sense of herself. I would've told her point blank. "As my friend I expect you to be supportive of positive decisions I make for my life. Your behavior has not helped at all and is in fact hurtful. I love to share my journey with you but your behavior has to change. I need to focus on the changes I'm making and won't allow any distractions including friends with "good intentions" that still make me feel bad about doing something good for myself." Now if she wasn't receptive to that then I'd chuck the duces to her.
  10. Whoo hoo the 16th is our day!!!
  11. Uh oh? Why?? Too many parts?
  12. What?!?! Oh no that just sealed the deal. I gotta have crushed ice, it's a deal breaker. Hello Ninja, lol.
  13. I'm a about a month away from surgery and planning out meals (if you can call liquids a meal ). I'm thinking I should probably upgrade my GE personal blender. Does anyone own the Ninja or the Nutra Bullet? I'm leaning towards the Ninja but I'd like to hear from folks who already use them. Thanks in advance!
  14. I'm with you Italiancurves. Purred meat sounds totally disgusting to me. I'll probably skip that as well. But who knows after all the liquids it may be delish…nah.
  15. I've only told a few people as well. Ditto all the reasons above. I don't need any unsolicited advice or "well intended" comments. My body, my business!
