sleeved 9/23
Sleeved on the 23rd. Very blessed. Can sleep on my side since day one. I know, lucky me! Am meeting all liquid and diet requirements. Though, I am tired of the liquid diet and am heavily mourning food. Mostly because I did not have a pre op diet, so I am literally withdrawing. Otherwise, al is well. As for the pain, not needing any pain meds any more, though I can feel the soreness when I move and stand up. I think I will be much more happy when able to do solid. For now, I have follow everything by the book!

Got the surgery on Monday
I feel great. Walked a lot hours since the surgery. Everything has a greed with my tummy. 4 days post opt and was able to consume all my liquids and proteins today. I have also been able to take my vitamins and meds whole. Only thing, I am hungry. It is not just head hungry, it is my body needs calories because I am hungry. However, I am fully focused and committed and will absolutely flow everything by the book. Specially because I know I am still so hungry! Oh- and the pain is manageable but there. I am not scared, nor anxious. This has been as smooth as it gets. For those of you waiting for your surgery day, visualize your day, being calm and your body working for you because it will. You've got this!

Thank you so much friends. There is one thing someone said here that have stuck with me: "do not take this surgery for granted" I am so prepared to give it my all. I know it will be tough but I am positive that I will try and try. I am thinking about continuing therapy and being even more committed to weekly appointments and over eaters anonymous to start to forgive myself and make peace with food. As well, my friend reminded me to come from a place of love and not fear to work with myself. I am kinda doing self talks to guide my thinking until all becomes a habit! Looking forward to hear your stories.- September opt date

I am the mother of three, work full time, am completing a doctorate program and weigh 344 pds. I think we all know what life is like as an obese person. I am Di ready to be released from this turmoil times and to give birth to a new me. I am afraid I won't loose weight even if I do the right things. It is like a night mare and I can appreciate your encouragement. My goal is to loose 170. Is this possible? I know many of you have and I can appreciate your story!
