  11. I'm 2 weeks out and have lost 6 pounds since surgery. I find myself frustrated, then I step back and realize, I AM just two weeks out, stalls in weeks 2 and 3 are very common. I think my body will adjust better when I am able to have real food, all Protein and no carb, which will be next week. Hang in there, I spoke to a lady before my surgery and she said she had a 39 day stall before the weight began falling off again. We're here to support each other! I'm only 2 weeks behind you.

  13. I have always been obese, long before I became a nurse over 12 years ago. I too found it interesting the number of RN's on here. I have researched WLS for probably 8 years now. I had friends that had the band, lost initially then gained even more back. There were 3 people from my home town that passed away from long term complications from bypass. The sleeve intrigued me over two years ago, then my sister, who is a PA, had the sleeve done in March. I have tried many diets with my co-workers over the years and like many others, I lost, only to gain even more. I do believe the long hours, wonderful Snacks from families, and stress all contribute to our obesity problem as a profession.

  16. Lol! I'm 12 days out and I swear every commercial is about food. My night in the hospital, I think it was even worse.

  18. How are ya'll doing that have had your sleeve done the first half of the month? I had mine on the 4th, not quite 2 weeks yet but doing well. So far no issues with any liquid I have tried, dairy doesn't bother me, spicy doesn't bother me. I am so pleased with my decision, I feel so much better already. Today was day 2 at the gym, very slow consistent 20 minutes on the treadmill but you have to start somewhere, right?!?!? Only down 8 pounds since surgery, scale is stuck but everyone is telling me they can see it especially in my face. I still need to measure, maybe I'll go so that now. Lol! Ya'll have a great weekend!
  19. Could you add me to the FB group as well?
  20. You look amazing! Keep up the hard work!
  21. I can't wait to have a pair of Miss Me jeans!!!!! That is one of my goals!!! Lol

  24. That is awesome!! Congrats!!!
  25. Have you been diagnosed with Crohn's? If so, I could see why she would be hesitant.
  26. Good luck ya'll!!!! Tomorrow is my one week celebration. Many changes have happened this last week but oh so worth it!!!!! Get your fluids and get up and walk as soon as you can!!!! Can't wait to read your stories on the losers bench....
  27. I agree. You need to let your surgeon know about the coffee ground consistency. I'm so sorry you are having such a rough time! Hang in there, it will get better, it has too. Positive thoughts your way! Keep us posted.
  28. I had mine on the 4th as well, I'm still little sore at my incisions and tired, averaging one to two naps a day. I'm having strong, epigastric discomfort thru to my back, so because of this I'm taking my pain meds twice a day. I was not placed on a ppi after surgery so if not better by Monday morning I will be calling the office. Other than that, I'm still on clears until Tuesday morning, I'm averaging 5000 steps per day, and I'm down 23.7 pounds from my highest in September.
  29. Hang in there. My nausea has been slight at times, still having pain from the gas they inflated my abdomen with.
  30. Who has already had their's done this early in the month?!?! I had mine on Monday and I think I'm doing great!
