  6. Wow! An excellent job on this. Gonna use this when I get my surgery in February. Great job and thank you.
  7. I never had the band to sleeve revision. I got into the wrong forum. Still trying to figure out the forum. Good luck on your surgery.
  8. Dr provost talked to me about the band but I was wanting the sleeve. My daughter had the band and is yo-yoing with the weight loss. I have liver disease and just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in april. I researched the sleeve and for me that's what I wanted. On the way out of the consultation with dr. Provost he said " good decision" the appt. didn't even last 20 minutes.
  9. No dr provost did not convince me to use the sleeve. That was my decision. The staff now is another story. The dietician I had an appointment with is either fired or quit and they basically told me to find my own dietician. Yes I am pissed. Good luck to you.
  10. I got cardio clearance from the cardiologist. Yes I am ecstatic. Now ll the other doctors compliance.
  11. Awesome. Congratulations. I am 5 months out before surgery doing research. I like what I read here. So much information. Congratulations on your weight loss.
  12. I will be getting my surgery in January/February 2014. Insurance requires 6 months of dieting. What kind of diet have ya all been successful with. I am type 2 diabetic and is newly diagnosed with it in April this year. The diabetic diet just isn't working for me. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you
  13. Yes fitness pal is great. I use it all the time. Keep up the good work on your post op diet. I am on the diabetic diet and am loosing nothing. I can't seem to get it regulated. I see the Endroconologist tomorrow. I got my cardiologist approval today. To say the least I am so excited. 5 months to go. I have to do the 6 month diet thing to for insurance. Keep up the good work those months will fly by.
  14. I got my clearance from the cardiologist today. Part of the dr and insurance requirements. I am so happy. I'm excited and nervous too but mostly excited. Wish I could do it now.
  15. This is great news. For I am not doing well with this insulin. I am anxious to get this surgery done. Pray the cardiologist finds no problem. With my ticker. For I need his clearance to do this. Will find out this week. Thanks again for the positive posts and good lock to all of you.
  16. I have AIH autoimmune hepatitis. This is a non viral form of hepatitis. My immune system is trying to take out my liver. I was diagnosed in 2004 and have been on prednisone since then and will be for the rest of my life. My question is - has anybody been on long term prednisone and had the gastric sleeve? The dr. Says I will get ulcers from it after the surgery. I will be talking to my hepatologist about this but maybe someone here has the same or close to the same problem. Thank you for your in put and congratulations to all of you that are having a successful time with the sleeve surgery.
  17. That's great news. Since I have only been on insulin since may, I hope I will go into remission. The doctor told me I probably leave the hospital a non diabetic. I hope he's right cause I am not doing well on this diabetic stuff. Thanks for the input.
  18. Thats what I read. And that's not the only reason I'm having the surgery but a good 75% of it. Thank you for your post.
