Best decision I have ever made
May I ask what your eating plan is like? Calories, carbs, sugars, protein, etc?
-
Any1 scared it wouldnt "work?"
I'm in the same boat. The scale has not moved in 6 weeks. Its like the last 22lb does NOT want to come off. I, too, stick to 1200 calories. Walk/dance a fair amount. Admittedly I have the off pint of Guinness - but I log everything now, just to make sure. Seems like I shall remain at a BMI of 28 for the rest of my days... All very depressing.

Your first Party
Anyone can go to a party. Its whether you go to a party and can stay strong. Rule of thumb so early out? If it is nutritionally bad for you? Don't eat it - it'll make you feel awful. Try and identify the 'better' options around the table. Or better still, eat before you go to avoid having to eat whilst you're there, drink something with no carbonation, avoid alcohol and enjoy the company and surroundings. Doesn't always have to be about the food, so make the company, surroundings and music your focus instead. If it gets tough? Leave early. Your friend will be happy that you showed and you'll be happy that you socialised but managed to stay strong. A party is not an interview with the firing squad! Well, it shouldn't be! Best of luck

Incredible shrinking legs
Mine went: Chest - Legs - Arms - Face - Chest - Legs - Hips - Belly - Ad infinitum Belly appears to be the last thing shrinking. I'm all good with that if it catches up with the rest of me!

Why am i hungry?
I'm like really pissed about this!! I'm not sure at who or what. It seriously concerns me!! Don't lose the plot just yet. If you're anything like me, you're going to feel weak for a good few weeks until you hit solids. Then, the game changes entirely. You can eat real food, with real calories and real nutrition and you WILL feel much much better. When this happens, you can eat your healthy dense protein and feel good and satiated. In fact, when you first try it out it will sit like a brick and then you'll be wondering 'oh crap, so that's what they did to my stomach!' Try not to focus on it right now. You're hungry, malnourished, with hormones raging. Consequently and in these next four weeks you will feel intense highs and intense lows. Okay, so the dice didn't fall in the 'no hunger' camp. However, you won the lottery on the small stomach front. It will work for you. Have a bit of patience and a little bit of faith. All the best

Why am i hungry?
You're not alone. I was bloody starving - and still am. I eat, exactly 2-2.5 hours later, I could chew the ****** ****** of a scabby cat. Some people have this - some people don't. Thems the breaks. Try and sip more Protein shakes to ease the deficit.

SABOTAGE DREAMS
That would be the anesthetic and other drugs exiting your system, mixed with your baseline fears taking over in your subconscious. I found my freaky post-op dreams quite entertaining. In fact, for a couple of them and once awake, I tried to return to sleep to get back into them. People pay serious money for those kind of whacky moments! I think I was a female version of Lawrence of Arabia in one of them!

Cheating the consultation scale...
You could always take your lead from a drugs mule... Strap flat packets filled with lead filings around your middle with an ace bandage. Flat, form fitting, effective. Or, depending on your <coughs> crevices, you could always wrap a load of lead filings into a couple of condoms and shove it where the sun doesn't shine?! LOL and I am seriously joking about that!

Unexpected NSV - I'll take it!
The only problem with this element (apart from all the bruising - and lord, I am still sore), is that I'm finding it very odd to be 'knocked down' - by anything. When I was 250lbs plus, there wasn't a CAT 5 hurricane which could have knocked me over. These days, I'm like 'whoop! There she goes!'.

Unexpected NSV - I'll take it!
I am of Irish lineage and a professional Not really. Basically averaged out at one drink an hour. 5 pints and two single shots drowned in redbull. Totally do-able

No pastas or breads?
I just ate a slice of Hovis granary bread with butter and honey. Should I be eating carbs? Probably not. Do I feel crap if I don't have at least some? Totally. I think its horses for courses. Optimal weight loss apparently follows a very low carb diet. I'm sorry, I can't do this. I start spinning out and having blurry vision and all sorts. I do still follow the rules of Protein first, but for example, I had pulled pork for dinner. I served it with half a tortilla and a mixed salad. I like my veggies, I like my meat, but I need some carbs. My weight, admittedly has been stalled for the last 8 weeks - but I'm down to having lost just over 60% of my excess weight at approaching 6 months. It does that at this juncture. If I continue to stall, I'll re-evaluate. But for now and until I see my nutritionist.. This is the way my diet is rolling.

Anyone have any "good" hairloss?
The extra hair is due to an increase in testosterone levels due to your weight. This is part of what PCOS sufferers have. Of which I am one. Have you been tested for PCOS? With the reduction in weight, is hopefully a re-balancing of our female hormones, a reduction in testosterone and hopefully a reduction in the excess hair.
