  1. So inspirational! Thanks for sharing. I'm day three and looking forward for the pain to pay off!
  2. Are you as nervous as I am? I can't sleep! Goodness. We've got this!
  3. I'm up tomorrow morning! As soon as I can, I'll share what I experienced. Here we go!
  4. Thanks a million for this! It gives me so much insight. I needed this. Thank you and congrats!
  5. I'm so glad they can help others! We're all in the same boat, and it's a wild ride!
  6. http://greeknugget.blogspot.com/2013/09/what-it-feels-like-to-live-on-700.html Anyone else losing their mind? Hope this is good for a laugh. We can do this! I find staying busy helps a lot.
  7. Just a reminder anyone can join our September FB group-- just give me your email address (that you use on FB) and I'll add you. How is the pre-op diet going for everyone? I find it challenging at night, but otherwise I'm good. I'm also getting nervous! I think it really hit me that I'll be removing my stomach permanently. I'm still on board of course, just a bit in shock.
  8. Wonderful responses! It really does get annoying. Everyone is a genius about this surgery, huh? HA!
  9. What did I miss, you guys? http://greeknugget.blogspot.com/2013/08/top-5-things-not-to-say-to-weight-loss.html Are you sure you need this? You know you can't eat/drink that after surgery, right? You need to do this for your health, not your looks. Have you tried anything else? Oh, my friend had that. She went senile/gained it all back/joined the tea party. It's insane what people will say to us!
  10. Thanks for being honest and open about this. I keep reading that people say one bite is enough after surgery, but i wondered if it was the case for most. It seemed too good to be true!
  11. That does make sense. Do you feel like it's easier to not eat it now after surgery?
  12. What was the solution for you? To stop eating the sweets or to just have one bite after surgery?
  13. I agree with twinsmama, FindingElsie is quite the comedian!
  14. HAHHA You guys are hilarious! And so is that advice! Oh, if we just didn't eat at night, only ate salads and could find the magic cookbook. And as for eating whatever you want to get sick of it-- yeah right! Wouldn't that be nice.
  15. That is horrible advice! Just quit eating. I've also heard the whole "get a hobby".
  16. My father is convinced I will lose weight if I eat two double cheeseburgers a day from Mcdonalds and remove the bun. More on that here: http://greeknugget.blogspot.com/2013/08/totally-awkward-tuesday-dieting-advice.html What's the worst advice you've ever gotten?
  17. Incredible story RJ's/beginning. thanks for sharing! It's great to hear it was worth it all!
  18. I feel like the carnation doesn't have pack a lot of protein? I'm surprised it's being recommended! Try the Unjury soup if you want to mix it up.
  19. Really exciting! I know all about how crazy making the waiting process is. Congrats on being one step closer!
  20. I wonder the same thing! HA. Thanks for asking.
  21. If you're still having trouble with the facebook group we made, you can send me your email address and I can add you. Sassy sleevers is pretty good too, just really BIG. It has thousands of people!
  22. I had to drink gas crystals? It was totally crazy and uncomfortable! Glad that's over for both of us!
