  1. How much have you lost at 5 months out?
  2. Thanks emr3857, I am getting so nervous I think I am trying to think of excuses! I am also on the other hand so excited!
  3. I am 2 days out (I have surgery scheduled for Wednesday 7/31/13). Let me give you a little background. I have had my tubes tied in 2010 and a Uterine Ablation in 2012 so I haven't had a period in over a year. Now I am assuming becuase of my diet it has my body in a state of chaos and I have started spoting. I have emailed my doctor, but now I am stressing that they won't be able to do the surgery if I am on my period? Any advice??
  4. I am also having surgery on Wednesday!!! I am 5'6" and started at 310 I am down 12lbs.. I am on a complete liquid diet as well usually with 4 shakes a jello and sugar free Popsicle. It's has been tough but the first 4 were definitely the worst. I did have a break down yesterday when we were at a family cookout. I am getting so nervous. I am scheduled for 7:30AM!!! Eekkkkk
  5. T minus 60 hours and counting. My surgery is scheduled for 7:30 AM on Wednesday. I have to be at the hospital at 5:30AM, yuck... Growing more nervous!!
  6. I went yesterday for preop and it was nice. Free valet for patients. But everyone that I spoke to and worked with was extra nice. The rooms looked nice. If you look at reviews for every hospital there are great reviews and then there are reviews where people wouldn't go to that hospital if they were dying, one extreme to the other.
  7. It's going okay I had a bump in the road but I have moved past it. I don't like broth so I miss salty. I will probably not eat Jello again after this is all done!
  8. University General Hospital.
  9. I am very excited. My surgery date is 7/31, which hospital are you gonna be at?
  10. Lucky you. No sensible dinner for me. I am on a two week liquid diet
  11. All I had to do was blood work and get all paperwork completed so there is less to do the morning of. I thought I was gonna have an EKG but I don't have any other issues so I was good to go! I know a lot of people do have to get EKG's. I was in and out in about 1 hour!!! I am so ready. Even found out that it will be at 7:30AM, bad news I have to be there at 5:30AM
  12. I had my preop at the hospital this morning. Everything is set for July 31!!!!! So excited and a little nervous!!!
  13. I would like to know how you got approved as well.
  14. First Appointment 6/4/2013 Surgery scheduled 7/32/2013 I had to have EGD, Nutrition class and psych eval. I did 2 of the 3 in one day. I also had to have 5 years of weight history for insurance but I just pulled records from my primary and ob doctors. 1 week from today I get sleeved!!!
  15. Thanks. I am a week out and I am so so excited and getting a little nervous! My twins are 3 and are all over the place. Thanks for the heads up!!
  16. How do they do a leak test?
  17. I thought the same thing. I am on day 6 of protein shakes, water and jello. On day 1 I had 4 shakes, 3 jello, broth, sugar free Popsicle and a ton of water. Today I have made myself drink 2 shakes I am not hungry but I have kept up the water. I only have 8 more days but it does get easier!!!
