I had my sleeve 3.5 weeks ago and it was done by Dr. Yu, with TLC. It wasn't covered by insurance so choosing a doctor who offered complication insurance was really important to me. I like him, he did a good job, and I liked that it was single incision. I had previously seen Dr Wison, with UT. I liked him, but it would have been much more expensive because he does his at Memmorial Hermann. If it had been covered by insurance, I probably wouldn't have bothered to look elsewhere. However, I'm glad I did because of the single incision.

How much have u lost so far? Did u have problems scheduling? When I called I spoke to a lady name Shamira an she was a little rude so now im a little uneasy about the facility. I have insurance with uhc but I'm i can only use doctors in network an the doctor I really want to use that did my moms an my friends is out of network????

I just replied to another post you made, but I am also in Houston and having my procedure with Dr. Scarborough at TLC. I've talked to a couple of people who were short if not rude, definitely left me with the feeling that I wasn't a priority. But when it matters, that staff is on top of their game. I had my EGD (last insurance requirement) July 18th and on July 19th I got a call from the office letting me know my application was submitted for insurance approval. Based on my experience, I would recommend them. (My procedure is scheduled for 9/11.)

Hello,

I will be having my surgery next week. Dr. Yu will do my procedure. I'm excited. I really like the people in TLC.

It's going okay I had a bump in the road but I have moved past it. I don't like broth so I miss salty. I will probably not eat Jello again after this is all done!

Yes I think it's something we had to get ourselves use to change when it comes to food. LoL! I agree. I've been making crystal light slushy.
