Surgery on Wednesday! Eeek!

I'm going in 11 am on Wednesday! I'm so excited but so nervous! Im 5'6" and started at 315 pounds! I've lost 20 pounds on the pre-op diet ( 3 protein shakes and 1 -3oz lean protein with veg), and I still have 3 days to go! I have to say the hardest part so far is the first 3 days! I was miserable and STARVING! I felt so depressed...like I was "breaking up" with food! I missed everything! What concerns me now is after the surgery. I read so many horror stories...it scares me :/

My surgery is Weds too. You had a better preop diet than I did. 4 carbation instant breakfasts, one protein shake and one protein bar. No actual food! And after is two weeks of clear liquids! Only popscicles and broth and apple juice (low sugar) and water and vitamin water zero. That's what I bought anyways. Good luck!

Katie, I totally get your emotions. I feel like I'm "grieving" food right now. Such powerful emotions tied to it all. I am hoping this gets better, because I'm scared of failure post-op. My pre-op diet allows one small meal a day and I savor it!!

I am also having surgery on Wednesday!!! I am 5'6" and started at 310 I am down 12lbs.. I am on a complete liquid diet as well usually with 4 shakes a jello and sugar free Popsicle. It's has been tough but the first 4 were definitely the worst. I did have a break down yesterday when we were at a family cookout. I am getting so nervous. I am scheduled for 7:30AM!!! Eekkkkk

My hospital won't tell me my time until Tuesday evening. And why is it when i am about to go to surgery I get a massive infected ingrown hair? Awesome. Naked on the table and it is gonna shine like a beacon and blind the doctor and I am going to lose my spleen instead of my stomach. Trying to inject some humor in a situation that I am going to be embarrassed about...
