  1. Have you SEEN where I put my tongue or SMELLED whatever it is that crawled in my throat and died?
  2. Tonight is my last night of "real food" for quite some time. I chose to go gourmet and had tuna salad. Tomorrow starts my pre-diet of high Protein, low carb which basically translates into 4 ounces of fish, turkey or chicken for dinner, two eggs and two pieces of turkey bacon for Breakfast, and tuna, chicken or turkey salad for lunch. Two Snacks of 1 cup of milk with added powdered milk for more protein. I have it easy compared to many WLS patients. Most I know have to do weeks of Protein drinks and liquid diet pre and post. I like my surgeon's way better!
  3. Were you given the option of taking a shower after your surgery? I'm supposed to be in for three days and I can't imagine not showering for three days?
  4. We just got a nice new Keurig. Are any of you drinking coffee or tea after surgery?
  5. I believe that everyone has a totally different pre-op diet. For myself, the only thing I've been told NOT to do is drink my nutrition, ie: NO Protein drinks. I have a low carb high protein diet for one week before surgery. And I start pureed foods while still in the hospital.
  6. Should we buy the grocery store small turkey dinner (turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole and cranberry fluff) for my husband and I can have pureed turkey. Or should I send him to a friend's house for a big dinner. Or should we stay home and he can have a turkey sandwich? My post-op diet, and diet before leaving the hospital, is pureed with no liquid Protein diet.

  8. Has anyone used this product? It has Vitamins and Protein in it and I'm wondering if it's worth ordering, at the buy one, get one free price? http://www.walgreens.com/store/store/product/view_product_details.jsp?defaultRadio=Ship&id=prod6108935&id=prod6108935&color=&skuId=sku6096483&CATID=361155&size=
  9. I have enough of my two insulin pens to last through my surgery on the 20th. Should I refill? Do most diabetics get off their meds after surgery?
  10. It sounds like what works for some, does nothing for others
  11. Did you have your surgery in GB? I'm having mine in Milwaukee on November 20.
  12. I mix mine with cottage cheese, salt and pepper and bacos. Double dose of protein!
  13. I'd love it!
  14. I leave for class and return to more talk of crotches. kvlasy......does YOUR Pug smell crotches or butts?
  15. I need a different picture.
  16. apparently you need to have sparkly lips and choke on small bones
  17. I amuse myself. Just 'cause you have sparkly lips does NOT make you Lord Queen Boofoo of the manor.
  18. I will have to look up this toradol!!
  19. My friend had her sleeve done a week ago. She has recommended a few things to me. She recommended a scopalamine patch behind my ear for nausea? She had morphine as well but morphine doesn't work well for me and my surgeon prefers Dilaudid. She mentioned liquid Lortab for home but my surgeon sends liquid Oxy, not sure the difference? And something called Phenergan, also for nausea? I always have Zofran on hand (liquid gold to chemo patients), ever since my chemo treatments and now with my hernia.
  20. Did you get something caught in your sparkly lips?
  21. I prefer to pick my nose first, because then I don't taste the yuckiness of my butt picking when I eat my boogers.
