  1. I am on 9/16 and I am glad that the month of Sept. has finally started, so that I can really begin counting my days until surgery. I feel excited and nervous. Congratulations for everyone in Sept!

  3. Hi I am pre-op and ordered the book through Barnes and Noble. I still like holding and reading a book! Very informative..I am trying to read as much as I can on WLS.
  4. Hi I am September 16th at Kaiser in Southern California and Pre-op 9/12. I am going out of town soon and trying to figure out how I am going to eat healthier on the road. I have not found any protein bars that I like yet. I do enjoy the priemer protein drinks, but not sure if I can pack that in my suitcase on the plane. I have struggled losing the 11 pounds and want to continue losing weigh before and after my surgery!
  5. Me too. I am ready, started the process in feb. 2013. Patience is thin!
  6. I am getting sleeved by Dr. Um on 9/16. I was glad to finally read about someone who was sleeved by him.

  8. I had to do more labs yesterday, potassium was low, thankfully it went up.. Although the levels were not delaying my surgery. Surgery 9/16! Now waiting for my cholesterol levels.
  9. I am going through Kaiser and told only one day of liquid diet. The day before surgery.
  10. 27 days and I will be on my way to Kaiser WLA for surgery!
  11. I want to be able to walk up all staircases without being out of breath. I also do not want to worry about being over 200 pounds and the threat of airlines charging me more money! I want to be able to walk as fast as my two children. I want my hubby to be able to pick me up, like he did when we first married. I would like to look in the mirror and enjoy looking at myself like I use too. I want to be off diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol medications! Yes, I will get there.
  12. Congratulations to everyone who has their dates in Sept. I am scheduled for 9/16. A little nervous about being put under anesthesia.However I have had a few surgeries and procedures that require being put under before.
  13. I have not had my surgery yet. However, I will not be in a rush to return to work. My dr.said three weeks off work and I will take it. I work in the office and in the field. I am not trying to be superwoman!
  14. Thank you all for sharing your photos. It makes me more excited about doing the sleeve surgery. I am proud of each and everyone of you!
  15. My surgery is 9/16 at WLA Kaiser. 7 months from when I started my bariatric classes!????
  16. Surgery is 9/16, it seems so far away! Struggling with continuing to lost weight. I need to pack My food as much as possible, especially when traveling in my car!
  17. Yes, I was normal weight as a child and teenager. After suffering a bad miscarriage at age 20, I started going up and down with my weight. When I was younger I was more active and walked alot. I also was given healthy food choices as a child, with treats of limited junk foods. I enjoyed fruits and still do today,but now I am a diabetic and have to watch my intact of fruits.
