  2. Your hard work has paid off! Looking good.......
  3. It depends on what your doctor recommends. My blood pressure medicine was changed. My metformin for my diabetes and cholesterol meds we're stopped. My old blood pressure meds had my bp too low, however the new meds have the lower number too high. I am sure my dr. will figure it out. I will see the doctor next week, however the bariatric care coordinator has been very helpful with my questions and concerns.
  4. I did walk. But, the gas did not started.passing until my 4 day post op. I had issues with gas prior to surgery and I take prescribed Pepcide.
  5. I am glad you are recovering well!
  6. I use a pill cutter and cut them in halves or quarters depending on the size and then swallow each piece at least two minutes apart.
  7. I was told I could no longer take Motrin, that is what I normally take. They did not give me an alternative.
  8. Correction sleeved on 9/16 and released 9/18.
  9. Hi, This first few days after surgery have been rough. I came home yesterday, but still need pain meds every six hours related to the incisions. The gas is also very painful. However, started passing some of it yesterday. I am full of fluids, hand, stomach and legs swollen.. My potassium went very low and my sugar went up in the hospital. No regrets, but ready to feel better so I can focus on my new life change. I read so many post that other sleeves pain was just a little discomfort, I hoped that would be me. Oh well, this too shall pass!
  10. I am carrying fluid since surgery on 9/16, but weighed myself anyways today and, 13 pounds up, since 9/16. So I will not weigh again until dr. Appt 9/25, hopefully the fluid will be all gone.
  11. I was sleeved Monday also, I came home yesterday. I had problems drinking the potassium, it made my severe gas pains worst. I am glad to be home but I did not take in enough protein or water which my doctor had me start at home last nigh. My right side is giving me the most pain. It does not help I started my cycle yesterday and now I have a head cold. My mother is disabled so I am using her walker to get some exercise. I wish I was like the other people who posted very little pain or just discomfort. Lol
  12. I agree with you the two previous post! good points
  13. You will do fine. The gas strips will be helpful, although I could not find any at the last minute. Congratulations!

  15. That is good to know. I expected the gas pain, but I forgot how painful it can get. My incisions on my right side is very painful, but the rest are fine.
  16. Congratulations on being sleeved yesterday and doing well enough to go home!
  17. I was sleeved on 9/16. The surgery went well and although diagnosis in 09 with a hiatel hernia he found no evidence of it. My sugar went up to 191 and potassium too low. Due to the extreme gas pain and being taken off the med pump, I did not take in enough liquids today on my own, so one more day in the hospital. I am sure I will feel better tomorrow. I have been walking, but need to do more. The gas and right side pain is the worse!
  18. All hooked up and waiting for surgery time.
  19. I left my IPAD and I live to far away to go back home to get it!
  20. Well wishes for you tomorrow. I am at the hospital waiting for them to take me in the back to be pre-op. my surgery is scheduled for 12:50pm.
  21. I have Kaiser and did not do a sleep study.
