Hunger - did it come back and when?
I started feeling hunger pains about four days after surgery. I was on a acid reducer before surgery and continue it since surgery twice a day. Usually after I eat something I am satisfied. Some others have mentioned that thirst can mimicked hunger I get in on average 48 to 56 ounces of water per day. I am aiming for 64 ounces.

My dogs are baffled they are no longer getting treats from my plate. However it is good for them the two older ones can lose a pound or two.

I am almost 4 weeks post op and 28 pounds down from my surgery date. Incisions are healing well. The gas and constipation is very uncomfortable. I will be on a regular foods starting10/15. I go back to work the first week of Nov., so I will have food plan and schedule all ready. How are any of the other 9/16 sleevers doing?

Shot down by insurance, guess that's that
I am sorry your insurance company would not cover all of your WLS expenses. I had to wait several years before my insurance would add a lower BMI. I would ask my PCP every year regarding qualifying for the surgery. My doctor would say no I did not meet the requirements and for me not to gain weight to meet the then 40 BMI. I was able to lose 38 pounds but keep only 25 pounds off for the last 7 years. I was then able to get my diabetes and bp meds reduced. Good luck with your journey losing weight which every way you are able to get it off!

Nausea, slow loss, possible regret
Yes I noticed that when I get in all my protein, water and at least 900 calories I am losing. However on the days I get under 700 my weigh stays exactly the same. It is a little difficult being not extremely hungry and still in the soft food stage.
