  1. Sleeved on the 23rd the 3rd and into the 4th day were the worst for me I couldn't keep anything down even water. Dry heaving was almost more painful than labor. I put a call into the doc and she hooked me up with a second anti-nausea medication which dissolves under your tongue. It has made all the difference. I feel so much better now. I still have some pains but if I keep up the Meds and take them as scheduled it has made a big difference. I have been unable to drink or eat more than I should but it is getting better. And after reading this forum it seems it will continue to get better. Reading these posts have been a great help! Take care all!
  2. I am one day out as well. But pain is being managed by some pain killers and they are giving me something for gas pain too. I am just it by all over though!
  3. Had my surgery this morning!! I'm doing ok! I have some pain in my abs and some gas pain but I'm on some good drugs! Have been in and out of consciousness throughout the day! But I'm good!! Should be going home Thursday! Hope everyone else is doing well!

  6. Getting ready for the 23rd! Liquid diet is going ok after the 3/4 day of course! I did have a dream that I cheated on the diet lol! I woke up feeling guilty then so relieved it had just been a dream! Nervous and excited for Tuesday. Reading through posts have been very helpful! Good luck all!
  7. I just had my first chicken broth that I ordered from unjury.com. It was really good and has lots of protein. I highly recommend it!
  8. My surgery is July 23rd! I start my 10 day liquid diet on Saturday! I am able to have 4 protein shakes a day and sugar free jello and broth plus lots of water including crystal light. I have been mentally preparing for this for the last 3 weeks so I think I'll be ok. I think the hardest part will be getting in the water; I've always struggled with that but I know it will be required after surgery! Good luck all!
  9. My 10 day liver reduction diet starts Friday. I am supposed to drink 4 protein shakes a day; 64 oz of water and only liquids; anything sugar and caffeine free and no carbonation...like broth, crystal light, and jello.
  10. My surgeon works with a social worker who is an expert in eating disorders. You might want to try to look into working with a social worker as a counselor for your stress. They may not be covered by insurance but they usually charge much less than a psychologist/ psychiatrist. She also recommended some books/websites to help with stress eating. I will go through my stuff and post them later.
  11. My surgery is July 23; it had seemed so long away but I just realized its now less than 3 weeks away!!! I start my liver reduction diet in a week and a half! I'm so ready for this!
