  1. I have never vomited, I have never PB (in the 3mo of having my band) and now today I have been sick. Can a person go from one day being fine and the next day slipped?
  2. I have had the band for 3 mo. now. Never had anything like this. This morning I took my medication (a new one was added) and had a slice to well toasted bread. Within 30min I was feeling nausous. I gaged several times but nothing came up. I still feel nausous. Anyone know what this is or how long it will last?
  3. I have been banded for almost 7 weeks now and doing overall really well. However, some days I have port pain. More towards the end of the day if I have been sitting a lot or if I wear a tighter pair of pants it hurts really bad. Any ideas?
  4. Dr Fox is Tacoma does it for 12,500. I had mine in Mexico and see Dr Fox for follow up here in Tacoma. I paid 8400.00 plus air fare at 400.00 and so less then 9k. Fills are 224.00 here in Tacoma. I think 17k is pretty high. But it also depends on where are happy and confident.
  5. I have noticed since my surgery i tend to be more hot blooded then before. Sweat at night, and hotter in the day. Anyone else?
  6. Hi I was banded a little over a month ago in Mexico. Dr A. Rodriguez in Monterrey, MX. IT was a wonderful experience. Trust me I was soooo hesitant and worried. But 2 friends of mine had theirs done by him with great success. As far as finding a dr here. I am in Washiongton and there are 4 drs. within a 40 mile radius that will do the continued care. I am glad I did it. I never could have afforded the surgery (12800)plus that labs (1-5000). But I paid 8400.00 plus air fare 500.00. The journey has begain!!
  7. Hi All I am 4 weeks banded and have been experiencing late evening heartburn. I do take heartburn medicine twice daily, but I get this pain behind the breast bone and it occurs only in the eveing. Any suggestions?
  8. Well, as I posted before. I was a true worry wart. Well I am 3 weeks postop and doing very well. Surgery went great, healing looks good, food choices and weight loss are in the works and feeling good. I know it seems like so much negitive info is out. good to know that info but don't live by it. :clap2:
  9. I had surgery a week ago. I have been bloated and have not had a bowl in 4 days. Is this normal? Will it pass?
  10. I am getting a bad cold and surgery is next week- do you think they can still do surgery?
  11. Any feedback on Dr A. Rodriguez in Monterry Mexico? I have herd positive things...just wanted to start a thread to see if others have input
  12. I am a straw lover- makes things funner. Input please!
  13. Just wondered how you do using a straw. Any problems?
  14. I wanted to find out what most people wear after surgery? I am sure comfortable clothing. What about underwire bras and undergarmets. Help-surgery in just a couple days!
  15. :clap2:Hi Everyone- I will be banded in seven days. I am sooooo thrilled. I was talking to friend and I have set a goal. One day I was walking on the streets of Seattle, WA. I passed by a Dance Studio. Through the sheer curtains I could see the shadows of people dancing. It was then I knew I wanted to learn to dance. My goal: to get heathy, strong, and a pair of dancing shoes. Please keep me in your prayers. This was made possible by God and so I know that He has big plans for me. Talk to you later!
