  1. I am so upset and confused I could scream! Last night I couldn't sleep so I decided to go through my insurance coverage more thoroughly. I have 42 BMI along with CAD. i have had 2 heart attacks and am trying to get myself right before the third one takes my life. About.a year and a half ago, i started seeing a nutritionist and a personal trainer. 4 months and nearly a thousand dollars later and i was lucky to lose 17 lbs. so I gave up. When I went to see that nutritionist I was already considering WLS but thought I would give it one last ditch effort. Now I started the process going so far as to have the psyche eval all done, my first gastro appt tomorrow and the pulmo appt two days after that. Now after reading more thoroughly i see that my ins requires a three month Weight loss program that thoroughly documents exercise, meals and progress. I will call the surgeons office to speak with the nutritionist and see how this works. I am thinking I already wasted time on the psyche eval and will be wasting my time on the gastro appt tomorrow as well as the pulmo on wed. I am so upset it isnt funny (did i say this aleady?) I know I should have read the info more thoroughly so this is all on me, it just doesn't make the disappointment any easier!
  2. Oh you poor thing!! Maybe thats the reason they packed the thermometer??
  3. Isnt that too much sodium?? You had no issue keeping it down, or with swelling?
  4. Now this concerns me. Does his include showering too?? ????????
  5. I am not post op, but I just received my Unjury protein shake order, and they have a 'chicken soup' that is really good with zero aftertaste.
  6. I just wanted to give a quick review of unjury Protein shakes. I ordered the starter kit and what a surprise! I recieved it carefully wrapped in colorful paper (Orange) and it also contained a thermometer and measuring container. My computer printed receipt also had a hand written quick note thanking me for my order. After unpacking and seeing all this, I was really impressed. Now thats showing appreciation for your customers! I was really hoping I would like their products now! I made a Protein shake today using 1/4 cup ice 2/3 cup skim milk 1/2 banana and the chocolate protein. YUMMMMMM IS ALL I can say! Absolutely loved it?? Not sure yet how exactly i have to use the shakes since I am still going to pre op docs for approvals first, but I plan an having a protein shake in place of Breakfast starting monday. I sort of feel in the dark because other than lose 12 lbs beteewn now and my surgury date (if I am approved) I am not sure what else I should be doing, so I feel like I am floundering a bit. Oh and I am a newbie here. Love reading about all your journies. You all give me hope for a healthier future.
  7. You look GREAT!! How are you feeling?
  8. Of course that assumption is wishful thinking on my part. I am starting my diet tomorrow. I have to lose at least 12 lbs before surgery. I am still a long way off from scheduling a date as I still have to see the pulmo and gastro docs. I am super nervous that I will be turned away as unsuitable. My head is playing all kinds of tricks on me!
  9. The doctor didn't say the hunger would be taken away totally. That was the assumption I made when she said the part of the stomach that Produces the hormone would be the part they removed.
  10. I am new here but need clarification as well. I was told that the part of the stomach that is removed is the part that releases the 'cravings' hormone. So if you are no longer producing the hormone you wont experience the cravings??
