Some folks on here have had to have a stent placed to help dilate. Search "stent" and see if you can find that forum on here.

So sorry to hear this. I can only imagine the frustration you are having. This is my fear. I am only in the full liquid stage. Sleeved on 8/14. Just curious if you have spoken with the surgeon's nurse or the nutritionist? I am certain there is a solution to this but dang it!! :-/

Sleeved 8/14. Post-op day 5. Full liquids. Tender spots on abdomen but no pain. More energy each day. Began walking at gym today. Down 4 pounds since surgery. Slowly making progress!

Yes the cough is exactly as you describe. Pain on left side where stomach would sit. I too feel great overall.

3 day post op here. Diarrhea has begun. It happens like when I pass gas. So I have learned if I gotta pass go sit on the toilet!! Still burping. Nothing bad. Just the diarrhea is a little inconvenient. But I would rather have it coming out then constipation!

Well now I am on the other side. Sleeved yest 8/14. Surgery actually went smooth. Had a fairly good day yest until about 1am. My stomach started having muscle spams & shooting pain in my left shoulder. I had them take away the PCA pump causing it was just causing the nausea to be worse. Did swallow test while still in awful pain. As the day has progressed I have gotten better esp with walking & burping. What a relief to get that urine catheter out!!!! Started my 1oz liquid per hour about 1:30pm. Plans are to go home tomorrow evening

She is out of surgery. Dr. Overby said all went well and the surgery was shorter than he expected. Finally got to see her in recovery. Said she is hurting. Nurse is hooking up her pain meds and said she will be in her room within 30-45 minutes.

Surgery is set for this Wednesday 8/14. TMI here but I just got to shout it out! I NEVER thought I would be so dang excited that I started my period TODAY!! Cramps suck since I cant take Motrin but I'm beyond thankful at this point. Even if I am still having my period Wednesday, it will be on the end point. Woohoo :-D

What are examples of the clear liquids you are doing? Just curious.
