  1. Hahahaha! I went to a bbq at my parents house and they made tri-tip....my favorite. Don't think for one second that I didn't (as naughty as it sounds) suck on a piece of meat! Yep, even thought about creating the 'meat sucker'. I'm so sick of sweet things that that meat was heaven!
  2. Great to know! Thanks guys!
  3. I notice a lot of people eat refried beans. Don't they cause gas that would stretch our little stomachs?
  4. That's exactly what brothers are for! lolol That's exactly what brothers are for! lolol
  5. Amen sister! I am sick of hiding from the 'evil' side of the camera. Looking so forward to jumping into a photo with friends and family rather than hiding from it.
  6. Amazing job!! About the ticker.....scroll up and go to your profile name at the top right of the page. The click on tickers. You can create it there. Don't forget to attach it to your signature
  7. I agree completely that once I am at goal (or it is within reach) I will not deprive myself of anything, but partake in moderation. Unfortunately that probably would not be the case with beer, so I have opted to leave that one off the table and consider it gone. I know I will eat everything again one day, I am just in no hurry to get there.
  8. Priorities I guess. lol I was ready to give up (and desperately need to give up) beer. And I'm with you on the buffet! But that will be a long time down the road and I am okay with that. I will however never have another beer or anything else carbonated. I am committed to that.
  9. I couldn't do this without the sleeve and sleeve can not do this without me! But working together we are going to kick 'fats' ass!
  10. I am 6 days post-op and feeling pretty good. But the more I read the more it amazes me how badly people want to get back to old habits. The questions of 'when can I eat this again', and 'when can I have that' seem to be posted by the hundreds. I have to say I am in NO hurry to eat again. I don't want to visit 'Starbucks' or my local 'bar' as that is partially what put me in this position. Please don't take this the wrong way, I know some of you are just trying to get a feel for what is to come and when you can start doing some things. I just want to reiterate that this surgery is a tool and changes are desperately needed to be successful! Now is the perfect time to make those changes. Bring on the broth!
  11. Freaking Amazing!!!!! Nice job!
  12. I am 6 days post op and so excited to see these pics. You look HOT! I'm so going to get there! lol
  13. Thank you! I was going to get a tape measure today and totally forgot! Darn it. I am only 5 days post-op so I'm sure I havent lost any inches so I will be SURE to get one tomorrow! Thank you again for that reminder
  14. I am 5 days post op and doing pretty well. Feeling great except when I drink it makes me feel 'hungry'. I am pretty sure it's gas like they told me in the hospital, but I want to know if anyone else feels that. Yesterday I felt great, but today I was bloated ALL day and very uncomfortable. Is that the norm?
  15. Thank you Vicster! The very same to you! How are you feeling?
  16. How are you feeling? I was sleeved 5 days ago. Going great for me so far, down 8 lbs! But today I was bloated all day and very uncomfortable
  17. That you ladies! Dr. Osuna/Ortiz are doing my surgery on Wednesday. I can't wait! BTW.....is champagne considered a 'clear liquid'? I HATE flying and do MUCH better with a little liquid courage I will be flying tomorrow. I'm more nervous about that than anything else!
  18. I just took my 'before' photos and HOOOOLY CR AP! If I weren't going into surgery in 3 days I'm pretty sure I would have smashed the camera (which is very expensive) and used the strap to hang myself from the nearest light fixture. Then again, I doubt the light fixture would hold me! Wow, wow, wow. If I wasn't sure before, I AM NOW! No wonder I have avoided the camera for the last few years! (funny thing is my fiance and I are both photographers) It's a lot easier being on the back side of the camera. Which is exactly where I will stay until I loose at least 50 lbs. Goodness sakes. SMH.
  19. Best of luck to you! You mentioned insurance will pay this time. Are you seeing the same surgeon this time around? Was it tough to get your insurance to cover this time?
  20. If I take any kind of vitamin on an empty stomach (I am still pre-op) I vomit. I am scared to death about and unsure about what to take after surgery. Suggestions?
  21. That sucks. That would be my luck :-/
  22. You alive today???? Just wondering how your big night out went!
