  1. Got my package! Disappointed in the grape protein drink. Didn't realize hydrolyzed gelatin was the main ingredient . Chips and hot chocolate were good!
  2. I'm in the same boat this week . I was sleeved June 4th and have lost 25 pounds since then but this week the scale says I'm up a pound. How is that even possible, lol?? A little depressed about it, but I'll keep soldiering on and hope next weigh in is better. I've lost 106 lbs since I started this whole journey back in October, 76 pre-surgery. I think I need to just focus on that and not let these small setbacks send me into a tailspin. Easier said than done, but I'm trying!
  3. My stuff is on the FedEx truck out for delivery now!! Excited
  4. Where do you click the redeem/maximize credits button?
  5. Trader Joes - chipotle marinated chicken skewers, Thai-lime shrimp, chicken sausages (apple, jalapeño) turkey meatballs, salmon burgers, frozen edemame Love all of those
  6. I've tried so many different vitamins in my 4 weeks since being sleeved. The ones I was taking preop I couldn't handle postop. Bought a gummy multivitamin and C and those I can tolerate. Make sure you also take vitamin d. You should check with your primary for iron tho.
  7. How often did your doctor schedule follow ups? I went for my two week follow up on June 19 and my next appointment isn't until October! I read so many posts where people say their doc released them to this or that at 6 weeks, or did revaluations at 6 weeks, 8 weeks etc. it just seems strange not to have any follow up visits scheduled until 4 months later. Maybe I should schedule follow ups with a nutritionist who specializes in WLS?
  8. I'm fairly new here, but c'mon own that the way you started the post set the tone for many. "I don't know if I'm the only one who gets EXTREMELY annoyed when reading complaints about alleged "stalls". *sigh* sometimes I feel empathy for folks but most times I feel extreme aggravation." When your first words are how you get "EXTREMELY annoyed" and then state that you feel "aggravation" not "empathy" it doesn't give the "supportive" vibe. I think the info you gave was good, but the reactions to it shouldn't be surprising.
  9. I had to travel to El Paso for my surgery and came back to Albuquerque 2 days later which is about a 5 hour drive ( the way my sis drives lol) and did fine. Your six hour trip should be fine, putting the seat back angled back a little helped as did painkillers.
  10. Hmmm...my math didnt add up lol. It's 78 pre op and 22 post op.
  11. Since starting this process in October 2012 (first visit with nutritionist) I am down 100.4 lbs. 88 pounds preop, 22 since my surgery on 6/4. Don't know what's happening this week tho, I'm up about a pound since last Saturday. Started eating soft foods (my doc skips purée stage) and my body doesn't seem to want to let anything go lol. Gotta be more vigilant about getting all my protein in too. I still have soooo much to go, but it's looking good!
  12. I had my surgery on June 4th and we were told no bread, rice, pasta for 4 months. No puree stage for me tho, from full liquids to regular food. However, in addition to breads, no salads, no raw vegetables and no fruits with seeds for at least 4 months. I want a salad!!!
  13. On week 3, eating scrambled egg, tuna w/ a lil pickle juice, turkey lunch meat, string cheese, jello sugar free pudding, low fat cottage cheese with a little dole mixed fruit in 100% juice. Gonna make a soup this weekend with turkey breast, onions, carrots and celery and nonfat chicken broth. No breads, crackers, etc. Using the pudding to get down some of my meds.
  14. I have a 12 year old spoiled Pekingese named Mushu Peke:
  15. I'm having the SAME THING. I'm 2 weeks 1 day out. I posted a thread above about it, lol. Should always keep reading before posting. Doctor moved us on to soft/mushy foods, but I haven't eaten anything chewable yet. It just feels like a pulling pain. A little worried...
  16. Lol, I should have kept reading further down.
  17. I had surgery June 4th and for the past few days I've had a kind of pulling pain on my abdomen, to the right about 4 inches from my belly button. I've been able to drink my protein and water, no fever or vomiting. Is this normal? Almost feels like what my dad describes his hernia pain feeling.
  18. My dr. Skips the puréed phase. Two weeks out, mushy and soft foods for four weeks. Then add other foods.
  19. My loss since surgery on June 4th was 16.8 lbs! My doctors plan calls for soft, mushy foods now. Totally skips the puréed stage. Gave lots of ideas on foods we could eat now. Funny thing is, I'm kinda scared about progressing to that stage. I have a vitamin D deficiency tho, so have to be more disciplined about taking the vitamins. Feeling hopeful but a little like I'm standing on the edge of a cliff. Does that even make sense?
  20. Congratulations!!! What a great feeling and accomplishment for you! I have my first post-op appointment today, sleeved on the 6/4, nervous but excited
  21. Was sleeved on the 4th of June. Doing okay. Weird having no appetite whatsoever and having a little problem making myself drink the protein shakes, but i keep trying!! Still on full liquids pending visit to my surgeon on Tuesday where I believe he'll move me along to soft foods. Had a little problem with low blood pressure, which I also had after surgery requiring a second night stay, but feeling good . Best decision I ever made! Per my scale, I've lost 13 pounds since the day before surgery. That will make 95lbs total, 82 pre-op and this 13! I have a long way to go, but I'm headed there!!!
  22. Thank you guys so much!!!! It is over the incisions only, so it must be the dermabond.
