  1. I am so weak and not feeling well. Did anyone else struggle with this?
  2. I replaced 1 of my meals today with a low carb shake. It went down ok but started feeling shaky after a couple hours so I took my blood sugar and it was in the 70s. Any one else have issues with low levels during the diabetic pre op diet? What did you do?
  3. July 1st is my surgery date. Pre-op diet starts on Monday. My pre op appoint is Monday as well. I am so nervous.
  4. Awwww thanks!
  5. I downloaded this VSG app on my iPad only a week ago. I must say that it has been one of the best tools. I am addicted to it now. Everyone is so helpful and willing to share. I have learned sooo much here. So many answers to questions that I was afraid to or did not think to ask. Thanks VSG community!
  6. Mine is July 1st. I'm nervous too. I just keep reminding myself why I am doing it and it settles my mind. We will do great! (O:
  7. I am faced with a dilemma. I did not know that I could not travel for up to 4-6 weeks post surgery (never had surgery before did not think to ask until now). I have been working on a big project at work for the last 6 months and as a result have a couple traveling trips in 2nd and 3rd weeks of July. One of the trips is the final meeting of the project and in Miami,FL. Although a working trip, it also serves as a reward for all the hard work. Dilemma: My surgery is July 1st which only gives me a little over 3 weeks post op before the BIG Miami trip! Is this reason to postpone surgery until after the trip?
  8. Great suggestion!
  9. It is funny, I said this are thing on just yesterday. I am pre op and was talking to a friend about never weighing under 200 lbs in my adult life. I don't know my self as a "average or regular " sized person. Scary but exciting. My personality out weighs my body size is what I concluded.

Low iron will also cause you to lose hair. I've had that happen. Have you had those levels checked?
  11. Hi All! I am reading all kinds of differences of the pre-op diet. The diet given to me includes liquids, jello, popsicles and cottage cheese (I hate cottage cheese). My diet is for 2 weeks prior to my July 1st sleeve date. I have watched a lot of blogs and read threads here and there are diets all over the spectrum. There are even some without a diet besides 12 hours before surgery. What gives? What was/is your diet? How long where/ are you on it?
  12. July 1st surgery date.....nervous.
