Starting all liquid pre surgery diet
Same here... my surgery date is march 10th and my preop appointment is today at 11:15. I start my diet after that. I'm trying to view it as two weeks until surgery and then two weeks until pureed foods... it helps a little its nice to know there is someone else going through the same thing at the same time Good luck!

preoperative appointment and diet
I have my preop appointment tomorrow, 2/24, and am supposed to start my diet... very nervous. I am making the choice now, I'm not going to cheat no matter what... I'm going to do everthing they tell me to. Here's to setting myself up for the best possible outcome. I've been planning for this surgery since last July and now that everything is in place its starting to feel real... very nervous but excited at the same time. Advice would be very welcome and calming

BCN in Michigan
I finally finished my six month weight loss requirement for my surgery. The doctor's office submitted my paper work this last thursday (2/6/14) to my insurance. Anyone know how long it might take to find out if I was approved? Am I supposed to wait until the doctor's office calls me or can I call my insurance to check my approval status? I am in Grand Rapids, MI, if that helps.

Pregnant With Sleeve Surgery?
My sister became pregnant 7 months after surgery, she is currently 26weeks pregnant and her and baby are doing great

why do I feel so hungry
I have not had the surgery yet but my sister has...she said that feeling comes from too much acid in your stomach, her surgeon had her take a pepcid a day for the first three months and it really helped... Some people even have to take an antacid longer... Hope that helps

Hi I'm new here and am considering getting the sleeve done. My insurance requires the consecutive 6 month weight loss program before approval so if I do have it done it won't be until January ish.... Since i haven't started the 6 month program yet. I just wanted to make myself known since mainly I've just been reading other's posts to get more info. Any advice is welcome
