  1. I'm 5 days post-op sleeve surgery. All though I can relate with you, I used to overly indulge on food any chance i could too, but today the thought of over eating makes me sick to my stomach. The sleeve is definitely a tool to help you not to over eat and help you stay healthy and live a longer happier life. Good Luck to you.
  2. OMG it's been HELL for me I probably have had 20 oz of fluids today. I'm so nauseous and last night. I took some Tylenol with codeine and OMG you would have thought my insides were on fire. And on top of that I had major heartburn it was so bad that i couldn't sleep all night. I finally sleep from 5 am to 7 am. My heartburn is horrible. I called my doctors office this am and the nurse practitioner just called me back 5 minutes ago. My surgeon is going to call me. They are concerned that my belly feels like its on fire after I took Tylenol and I'm having major heartburn. My incisions hurt too put I don't want to feel like that again so I'm not taking it. I am taking Zofran that dissolve under my tongue and I'm taking metoclopramide for acid reflux and omeprazole for the ulcer reducer. I just feel horrible. I just got off the phone with my doctor and he upped my omeprazole to twice a day instead of once which is an anti acid. And he moved me to face two of my diet. And he said because I'm so nauseous pain medicine might make it worse so hold off on that. ????I feel Miserable. But all we can do is hang in there. Maybe in a couple of weeks I will be looking back and laugh at this but right now is no joke. I feel so gross.
  3. Thank you guys for all the encouragement and positive energy. I was released this afternoon after I could take two bottles of Isopure. I feel a lot better. My doctor switched my meds. Since we tried the liquid suspension of lortab the night before . I had a reaction to it. I broke out had shortness of breath and I was sweating profusely it was the worse feeling. So he switched me to Tylenol with codeine except when I take it it feels like fire inside me. So I think I will pass on pain meds and let it run its course. I still have to do my shots to prevent blood clots and those aren't to bad. Day four four post-op I pray for better days. Thanks again for all the good advice. I truly do appreciate it.
  4. So today is my 3 day post op. My surgeon said he would be keeping an extra day because I can't keep anything down. And he doesn't want to send me home only to return to the ER due to dehydration. After the surgery it was non stop vomiting. Especially with the pain meds they were giving me. I have been walking around a lot since day one. But man was I feeling so sick and full of regret. I thought this was going to be easier. I can't even have water without getting sick. This blows, so I have been on steroids to reduce the swelling inside my abdomen. I know this will get better. But I hate feeling this sick. Has anyone been through the same thing as me ?
  5. If you tell they will judge and if you keep it to yourself, they will still judge. This is why I decided early on that I would only tell my closest friends and my immediate family only. The ones who love me and support my decision since day one without judgements. My body my business. I'm just say'n
  6. Thank You Rebecca.....Love it. I'm 36 hours away from my surgery. I can't hardly wait. Monday here I come.
  7. Two more days till my surgery. And I'm so nervous, scared anxious and excited. It's so surreal But reading some recent threads of people who just had their sleeve done makes me feel a lot better and more at ease. I'm deep cleaning my house and my bag is packed. It's taking me two years to get here, and it was not easy let me tell you. But I can almost see the finish line and it feels victorious !!!! And I'm great full to have God's Blessings and ALL of you for support Wish me luck!!!! I'm not trying to find myself and going to re-invent myself !!!! Good Luck to ALL
  8. I saw my surgeon and I don't have to do a liquid diet before surgery. That is the best news I've heard this week.
  9. What's your update. Scheduled June 10th and I will turn 40 this summer both things are very scary. But I'm so ready !!!!
  10. We all have our bad days. And we are all entitled to them. But just remember to pick yourself back up because your worth it !
  11. You are going to do great. My surgery is pn June 10th, I saw my surgeon today and I'm scared of the unknown. When I got there my pulse was at 120 I was so nervous. But he made me feel so at ease and he also told me the surgery will only be about an hour long. And he answered all of my questions. I feel so much better.
