  1. Good luck with everything today...hope you have a speedy recovery! See you on the other side!
  2. Thanks, Richard! I know the measurements will still go down during a stall, but should I increase the Water, Protein, or calories due to the exercise now or just leave it "as is"? I wasn't sure if the exercise is what upset the balance of things, and if something needs to be adjusted.
  3. I have read countless posts about stalls and was full prepared to encounter these "bumps" along my journey. What I was not prepared for was having a stall at 1 week post-op! Just a little background....I had surgery on 7/22. I lost 9 pounds in the first week. A week to the day exactly, I was feeling super awesome so I started doing an hour of treadmill 6 days per week. I was on purees when I started and I'm on soft foods now. I am tracking my food and exercise with Lose It. My net calories after exercise are between 250 and 500. Yesterday was 643. I am getting 75 - 95g Protein per day and 64 - 90 oz of Water per day. The scale hasn't moved since last Monday, which is when I began to exercise. Do I need to increase my calories, water, or protein to get the scale moving again? I was absolutely NOT prepared to deal with this at only a couple of weeks out, but it is what it is. Any suggestions from all you vets out there would be welcome. TIA
  4. That is awesome! So glad you finally got approved! YAY!
  5. My surgery was 7/22 and I am doing really well! I've had a remarkable textbook recovery and I was able to get in all water and protein from the day I got home. No pain meds, gas, or nausea. I've been really lucky. Started 1 hour per day on the treadmill a week after surgery. I hope everyone else is doing well also.
  6. Welcome to the other side! Every day gets better and better!
  7. Excellent!! Hope you are feeling better and better each day!
  8. Loved this! I'm definitely feeling more sexual myself, even though I'm just over 2 weeks post op. Poor hubby!
  9. You will both do fantastic! Let us know how you are doing when you are feeling up to it!
  10. You are looking absolutely awesome!!!!
  11. I had to do the magnesium citrate and ducolax tablets for a barium enema prep. I had a colonoscopy 2 weeks prior to that and the bowel prep for that puppy was MUCH worse! I mean horrible!! And I had to drink 8 8 oz glasses of this crap. The mag citrate will definitely make you go but just plan on being close to the toilet and you will be fine. The other stuff was a nightmare!
  12. I use Lose It. Works really well to track food and exercise.
  13. Best of luck to you! You will be on the other side before you know it!
  14. I was very lucky. My insurance didn't require any supervised weight loss for 3 or 6 months. My first appt. with the surgeon was May 29 and my surgery was on July 22......7 weeks from start to finish.
  15. My doc says about 3 weeks.
  16. If you want to get a jump start on things, you can eat high protein low carb starting now. That will start some weight loss and get you in a positive frame of mind.
  17. HW: 255 SW: 241 Current weight: 233 Eight pounds in 8 days! SO HAPPY!!!!! Best decision of my life to have this surgery!
  18. That's incredible!! Congratulations!

  20. Best of luck! See you on the other side!
  21. Congratulations! Welcome to the other side!
  22. I'm 1 week post op and getting between 70 and 80g per day. Also getting at least 64 oz of water.
  23. Good luck to you! Once you're on the other side, you will know that this is the best decision you ever could have made in your life. Keep us posted!
