My surgery was 12/10...I would like to join the group too
  3. Hello, I'm so happy I found this topic. I just saw my doctor today and I'm having a sleeve to bypass revision done. I need to wait to see if my insurance approves it, but after a little over a year my sleeve stretch and formed a pouch and also have a hernia We discussed fixing the sleeve, but since I have not lost much and still need to lose a lot the bypass would be better for me. The doctor was also concern with my stomach stretching again and having to do another surgery. I've notice that I've been getting strong accid reflex lately so I'll be happy to do the bypass and get rid off that. I also gained 20 lbs. in the last couple of months.

    Reactive Hypoglycemia?

I've been suffering with all those symptoms for the past two months, but it's have gotten really bad in the past 3 weeks. I'm so glad that I found this post. I started measuring my sugar levels and I'm going to cut some of the caffeine intake...I've been drinking coffee like crazy lately and I stopped doing my zumba classes due to a crazy schedule. I just schedule a doctor's appointment for next week and I will reduce my caffeine intake as well as increasing my Protein foods. The feeling with low sugar levels is the worst ever!

    Surgery was 7/8/13-down 62 lbs

Hi Bella66, I was sleeved on 7/3 and since surgery I've only lost 59 lbs. I've stalled for 4 weeks twice already and when I do start loosing again is very slow. Don't let it bother you...one pound lost it's better than nothing or adding a pound.

HW 334 SW 320 CW 271 Very happy with my progress. I don't exercise much. I know if I did I would have lost more, but I'm still happy with my weight loss
  12. I'll be 3 months out next week and have lost 41 lbs. as of today. I'm happy with the weight lost so far. I know I could probably have lost more if I exercised, but I'm so lazy for exercise anyway...I don't regret having this surgery. I feel great!

    What are you eating?

My highest weight was 334 and at surgery 320. current is 286 and I was sleeved on 7/3. I'm walking or doing kickboxing 3 to 4 times per week. I'm trying to drink as much water as possible and eating at least 50 grams of protein a day, but the scale is not moving. I do feel a change in how my clothes fit and I started to fit in pants that I have not wore in years, but the pounds don't want to leave my body

Hi Erica5754, How much exercise are you doing? I'm 10 weeks out and only lost 34 lbs. I've been in a stall for almost 4 weeks now. I'm getting a little depressed and discouraged.

  18. I'm 7 weeks out and I have stopped losing weight. I lost 4 lbs with one day of liquid diet pre op and 26 post op. It's been a week that I stopped losing. Trying to drink more water and drinking at least 50 grams of protein a day.
  19. HW 334 lbs. SW 316 lbs CW 291 lbs. I'll be 6 weeks post op tomorrow and I feel so tired and sleepy. I feel like the days are so long and I just want to go home and sleep. I know I gave up coffee the day of the surgery, but I'm so ready to go back to my two cups a day! Anybody else feeling so tired just a month after the surgery?? Regards, Lucy

IM HAVING MY SURGERY NEXT THURSDAY

Hi, congratz on your upcoming surgery! It is normal to feel nervous before the surgery. Make sure that you are prepare for the full liquid diet by trying out different brands of Protein to find the one that you can tolerate. Also, expect some pain and swollen abdomen for the first week. Most importantly you need to follow your doctor's orders. You might not sleep much on your bed for the first week, but try a recliner or extra pillows on your back. Good luck and keep us posted of your progress.
  21. The only protein drink I'm using right now is Isopure plus, but on first three weeks I tried unjury and it was good.
  22. I'm 4 weeks post op and I just started to sleep on my tummy! it was the best night of sleep I had in this four weeks! It'll get better for you.
  23. Take you pain medicine, walk and sip your liquids through out the day. The first week was the worst for me. I couldn't sleep and had a hard time moving around, but walking does help. I used to sleep on a recliner the first couple of days and when I finally slept in my bed, I used extra pillows for my back and under my belly if I was sleeping my side. Hang in there...it gets better.
