I teach at a year around school. No summer vacation for me! I work at a preschool where we mainstream special needs children in with children of the same age. In a school of 150 children there are about 50 with different kinds of special needs. I love my job and my weight loss will help me keep up with MY little ones!

Yes, It is verrrrry common. I was to be on a 10 day liquid diet, but my surgery was put off a few days so I was on a 15 DAY LIQUID DIET!!! When I first got the list of what I could have I sat down and cried. I just knew I couldn't do it. The only thing that you couldn't see through was the 3 cups of milk I could have a day. Everything else was clear. Well, I did it and didn't cheat once. Just think of the ending affects. You are on your way to a healther you! You CAN do it!! Good luck!

WOW, tough time you are having. I am so sorry to hear you have to have surgery again. I also have a 10cc band. I am filled about 1/2 right know. Good luck and I will keep you in my prayers!!

Bernie, I had to have 3 fills before I felt any restriction. Hang in there and It will get better. This is the best decission I have ever made and I am sure you will feel the same soon. (((HUGS)))

I am a Pre-school teacher and have been for 24 years!! Not where the money is but I LOVE MY JOB AND MY KIDS!! My class of 27 just graduated last night!! My babies are on to kindergarten! (CRYING)

OMG, I told EVERYONE who would listen! I still tell everyone who will listen. BUT it is a very personal decission for anyone. Just follow your heart and do what you think is best FOR YOU. When I first heard about this surgery I told my mother I was researching it and told her Not to tell anyone. As time went on I told one person and then got such a positive responce I told someone else. and so on and so on and so on!! My mother said she knew I couldn't keep my mouth shut! It has been very possitive for me and I have a lot of support from my family and friends. The only thing I don't really like is everyone always asking "How much weight have you lost now?" That gets old. Good luck on your decission and hang in there!!

I use UNJURY protein powder. There web site is unjury.com It has a really good taste and comes in chocolate, vanilla and unflavored. They sell samples so you can try before you get the large containers. 20 grams per scoop then the 9 from the milk. They also have lots of receipes for you there. You can give them a try. I love it!!

I can't feel mine and my surgeon can't either. I always have to get my fills under fluro. but it is to the right of my incission about 2 inches.

Hang in there doll face!! You can do it! I know it's tough but all worth it in the long run! YES, go try on some clothes. You never know!!!!! I added some peanut butter to my chocolate protein drinks and blended it really well, IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD and really hit the spot!! Keep your chin up and the fridge closed! LOL just kidding. You are doing great!

I have told EVERYONE about my band. I do hate the "How much have you lost?" question. It seems I get it all the time and they always say "Oh, that's good" but you know they think I should be losing it faster. I then have to explain that I didn't have bypass so my weight loss is slower but BETTER!!! sometime I just don't know when to keep my BIG mouth shut!! I am VERY PROUD of my band and myself so it shouldn't matter what others think, but it does.

Jen, I also have the Vanguard 10cc band and am also up to about 8cc's (I think) When I asked my surgeon about being so full and only having 2cc's to go he said that all my fills from now on would probably be very small ones and I would feel the restriction from that. I love my BAND but it is very confusing.
