Oh Vines, I am soooo nurvous also!!! I was actually thinking about writing a post here about how shy I am. Face to face I ofter come off as being stuck up because I am VERY QUIET!! So PLEASE don't think I am. Just give me time and I am sure I will warm up! My SIL use to hand me a drink just as soon as I walked into her house because she said I was too quiet! It's a 6 to 8 hour drive for me also, but we will be leaving about 8:00a.m. I still have to open up the school at 6:30a.m. Then leave from there!! I'm not looking forward to the long drive but I am looking forward to being there!! Lisa, me and 2 friends confirmed! ONLY 14 DAYS TO GO!!!

I can have Protein Shakes, yogurt, Jello. I always add Peanut Butter to my Protein shakes during this time also. But every dr. is different. I only have to do it for 24 hours. Then take it easy the day after that. I see under your name that you are a scrapbooker? I am too!!!! I love scrapbooking! Are you making a scrapbook about your banding journey? I am. I have one from just before surgery, pictures of me day of surgery and I get my picture taken on the 19 of every month to see my progress. I also had a nurse take my picture while I was getting a fill. It is so fun!!!(scrapbooking not the fill)

Ok, This is so stupid but here goes. I think I was about 8 or 9 and the first Jaws movie came out. I scared me sooooo bad that I couldn't sleep all night. OK here is the stupid part. are you ready? I lived on a large ranch in the middle of the Arizona desert.HELLO! I was so scared that Jaws would come get me. What, walk on his fins, jumping over cactus? God I was such a total wimp!!!!!!!!! I can still remember how scared I was. PS, I am still a total wimp!!!

My GYN knows, but we never talked about the heparin shots. We just talked about that dreaded menapause (sp)

I have not had a single soda since banding. and also since banding when ever we have a meeting at work or a special day, my co-workers don't get sodas either. What good friends I have!!!!

It happened to me also. I never even thought about it being the Heparin shots. I got one before surgery and 2 after surgery. I started spotting a little after surgery and It lasted forever (or felt like it) hummmm something to think about?

How did I miss this thread last month??? My maiden name is Wilson. Not a lot you can do with that one. But I was always teased from BOYS about my first name Terri. I was always called TERRIBLE TERRI! Because of the spelling. But my Grandma use to say I was TERRIFIC TERRI!

Trish, so sorry you are not feeling well. I also had sometimes TERRIBLE pain by my port for several months after surgery. My surgeon also said we will keep an eye on it. No pain now! still don't know what it was. Hope you feel better soon! (((((HUGS)))))

Margo, I was scheduled to have surgery on a Tuesday and when I went in for all blood and urine work up before hand I found out I had a UTI. They did pospone my surgery to Friday. Sorry, but My surgeon said they CAN NOT do surgery if you have any kind of infection. He put me on a super strong pill and all infection was gone on the a.m. before surgery.(had to have another test) I held my breath until he told me I was clear! Good luck and drink lots of water and pee pee pee!!

I have Medicare and they paid for my surgery and for Dr. visits, nutritionist, phyc. eval, the works. No pre qualify. of course they paid the 80% and I paid 20%.

WOW, I got mine today. Very fast!! I had some of the white cheddar cheese chips. They were DELISH!! 9 grams of protein and 130 cals. 6 grams of fat. for the whole bag. I only ate 1/2 of it. Thank you again Road Queen for letting us know about them!!
