  1. So after years of laughing at my cousin and mum for complaining about period pains every month..... I'm in agony, do ya think I'm being punished for every time I made them a hot Water bottle or gave them a painkiller and laughed? I'm 26, post op 5 weeks today and I've never ever had regular visits from Mother Nature. I've been having weird abdominal pains for 2 days and now it's so painful and heavy. I'm laying here knowing I need to get my butt out off bed and go to work but it's just not happening. If this is what it's like normally, I'm sorry I laughed, seriously I'm sorry - this is horrible! Now please can one of you lovely ladies tell me it's related to surgery and only a one month special kinda deal
  2. Oh no why not? I think I was very lucky with the surgeon that I found.
  3. Hey, I'm 10 days post op now and I haven't had any problems. I see my doctor tomorrow but my scales tell me I've lost 20 pounds since surgery I am doing absolutely fine Do let me know If you have any questions x
  4. So it's a food thing? Really? Wow okay lol
  5. Hey guys sorry for the gross heading. I'm a little concerned, I'm only 6 days post op. I had a small glass of milk last night which made me need the bathroom right away and this morning I just had my same usual shake that I've had for the past 3-4 mornings and its made me rush to the loo. I'm worried because a) this can't be normal and I'm not getting enough liquid anyway and everything I am having is coming out so quick Again apologies for the gross post. But any advice would be great. Thank you
  6. Mental cravings I do have them but I just remind myself how much I paid for the surgery and do I really want a penny of that to go to waste. That kinda stops all the cravings
  7. I'm 5 days out I had half a glass of slim fast Half a glass of milk Half a cup of Soup Can anyone tell me how I'm doing?
  8. Hey Londoner, how are you doing? I'm day 4 post op but also pretty close to London.
  9. Hi Lynda, I am doing well I think. No problems apart from today feeling slightly dehydrated.
  10. Thank you all. I couldn't sleep much last night probably cause of my huge nap in the day and lack of activity but I have woken up feeling so dehydrated and dizzy today. Gonna try and drink something and will keep you all posted xx
  11. Thank you so much!! I don't feel hungry at all but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't eating too much or progressing too quickly. I'm sticking to shakes, Soups for the first 3 wks so let's see
  12. I had my surgery on Friday and I have to say I feel fine. Today I had one can of Soup which lasted 3 sittings and a third of a Protein shake. Am I doing too good? Is there a such thing? It's almost been 64 hours.
  13. I had it on Friday. Just focus on the liquids and it'll be fine today I managed half a portion of slim fast and half a cup of soup. Took me about 2 hours but I got there in the end good luck x
  14. Still avoiding those injections, yeah they're to thin the blood and avoid clots. Thank you for all your messages, I am so pleased I found this.
  15. Hey I had mine on the 17th. Glad you're getting to go home I left the hospital yesterday. How are you coping with the injections?
  16. Hey all, I had my sleeve done 48 hours ago, I came home after about 35 hours, the surgeon and nurses were highly impressed with my recovery so they let me leave. My biggest problem was all the gas pain it shot up to my shoulders and was quite uncomfortable. I am pleased to say, no gas pain today! My surgeon has given me these small injections to use on my stomach, I have a needle phobia and even with my mum around I still haven't been able to inject myself today. Apart from that I am so glad I had it done. I feel fine no pain whatsoever and no complaints. I will keep you all updated
