  1. Thanks all. I'll try and add some more. 9 months today
  2. Thanks Melissa. It is nice having mum with me but boy is she funny! She's definitely the bossier one and making sure I'm drinking. I would say once a fortnight I feel bad from being dehydrated. And today happens to be one of those days. So I got the telling off, I guess that's why she's the mum haha I'll actually post her pics too
  3. Hey Melissa, Thank you! Mum wasn't feeling too great and she wasn't able to drink very much of anything. Which I'm sure sounds like a hard thing to pick out when everyone struggles but I guess in comparison to me she just didn't look/feel too good. I tok her to see our doc who don't a ct scan and blood tests. This picked up the clots and At the beginning she we on injections but now just warfarin tablets with weekly blood tests to check the INR levels. I will say though, she is 135lbs, 49 years old and even with that complication I don't think she regrets anything. She's pretty much at her goal weight now. I hope that helped x
  4. So I thought I'd share my thoughts now that I'm 7 months out. Firstly 7 months goes fast! Like too fast! I'm fine no complications to share, though my mum who had surgery 3 weeks after me. She ended up getting clots and is now on warfarin. But I believe that's more to do with surgery in general not specifically wls. I think I've been bad, I don't think I've ever got in the recommended amount of Protein or liquids. But I try. I know I'm almost always dehydrated which doesn't feel too great. I don't have any restrictions on anything I can't eat but of course 5 bites and I'm full. I haven't been that active on here but if any one has any questions, I'm always happy to help! The pics are from before surgery the day after surgery and some random ones over the past 7 months. With the most recent that was take 2 says ago whilst getting ready for the work Xmas do

  10. Hi Aisha, Me and my mum are going through the same thing. I'm 7 and a half weeks post op she's 4 and a half. Personally I think I will try however I don't think my mums quite there (she had some complications and is pretty weak still). Do what's best for you because you're no good to anyone back in hospital. I wish you luck and do keep in touch and let us know how you are Oh and Ramadan Kareem xx

  12. Thank you all so much for your prayers and hugs My mum is okay now, she had 3 blood clots between her stomach and kidney but she's doing good now. Maybe even drinking more than me!! Thank you xxx
  13. Just thought I'd keep you all posted. My mum has a blood clot and has been readmitted into hospital. A clot between her stomach and kidney, waiting to speak to the doc shortly so I understand this more! Anyone know anything about it?
  14. So she's still feel really bad and she's taken some strong meds to help her sleep. I think we find out in the morning. Thank you for all your prayers x
  15. Thank you so much, all of you thank you. I'm trying to just keep calm and not worry unless the phone rings!
  16. So I can't believe I posted something about periods this morning when my mums doing pretty badly. I am 5 weeks post op today and doing absolutely fine, low energy, struggle to drink enough, not enough Protein all the usual but fine. My mum is 2 weeks post op today, I feel guilty as hell because we both wanted it but I went ahead with it first as she was a little unsure. Once she saw that I was fine she decided to go ahead, I did tell her that mum you're seeing just the benefits and you're not hearing me whine and complain. Mums been feeling terrible she was doing okay for the first 10 days or so but since Wednesday she said it feels like something is stuck and she's been woken up in the middle of the night to be sick, feeling feverish, abdominal area and back hurting. We've just been to see our doc and he didn't give a clear answer however he was panicking and booked her for a CT scan and he made her get bloods made her jump the wait and has fast tracked her results and wants them ASAP. I'm scared, feel guilty, tired, stressed and possibly maybe wanna cry! She did have an ultrasound this afternoon that came back ok. I just don't know what to think.....
  17. Okay... So as someone who has no clue what p pains feel like I thought that's what's happening. However last 2 days I've barely drank any liquids and I reckon it was my bladder screaming at me. I've drank maybe 16oz so far and already that pain has subsided yay back to laughing at the cousins
