Sex... Oh My God... Sex!
Figured I'd post my brag on this thread as well since I'm feeling so good about it. I'm down 175 lbs so far, and have just started dating a 23 year old, I'm 38. She is amazed about how long and often I can go and can't get enough. Talk about a confidence builder, now I just need to get rid of this loose skin so I can take my shirt off during. Also have to say it's amazing cardio as well, after two or three hour session I feel like I spent a whole day at the gym. Hope the testosterone boost lasts, she even accused me of taking Viagra.

Circumferential Body Lift Done 12/6
I'm going for my first consultation today, anyone who has gotten the surgery what questions would you be sure to ask if you did it over again?

Circumferential Body Lift Done 12/6
I'm pretty sure a penni can be done for 10k. On a side note so how long can you not work out for after the belt lipectomy?

Circumferential Body Lift Done 12/6
Glad to hear you are doing so well. SO let me ask did this help with your chest, thighs and mons pubis area at all? I was hoping this surgery would help with that as well since my inner thighs are really bad but I'm getting the feeling it's just for the belly, butt area? I have a bad feeling I'll need the inner thigh and a breast reduction as well even after this.

compression suits? really?!
I'm down 155 lbs and I wear under armor compression shirt and boxer briefs. Supposedly it can help things go back to their old shape, and to be honest it's much more comfortable then letting all that skin flap around. I have friends who are in amazing shape who wear them to work out as well. This ain't your grand dads compression garments.

Circumferential Body Lift Done 12/6
This may sound a little gross, but I had read of some horror stories where liquid was draining into guys ballsack after the surgery causing massive swelling. Is that something to be worried about?

Circumferential Body Lift Done 12/6
Thanks Scout, yeah I'll be looking to get the most bang for the surgery when the time comes. Rather get as much done at once as possible. I'm hoping with a 20k budget I can get it my thighs, belly, back and moobs all fixed. Arms would be nice but hoping to fill it out with muscle once I get rid of all the fat. How long are you unable to hit the gym for after one of these? Good luck with the recovery.

Circumferential Body Lift Done 12/6
Congratz, I am probably going to need something similar in a few months. Is this the same as a belt lipectomy? From me knees to my neck is a lot of loose skin, would this surgery correct most of that?

I Have Nasty, Loose Skin Now. Not Very Attractive!
I hear you man, I'm 150 lbs down and the loose skin is a bummer. I'm lifting and using oils and lotions on my skin hoping it helps but there is no way I'll go back to normal without some major surgery. It's really bad between the belly, thighs, and moobs, my arms aren't quite as bad, hopefully I can build the muscle in them. The worst part is I have my first date in forever tomorrow and I just keep thinking about how the hell I'm going to deal with all the hanging skin if things go well after a few dates. I guess I can't escape years of abusing my body so easily.

How to build muscle postop
From what I've read, the best you can hope for while you are losing the fat is to try to hold on to the muscle you have, or if really out of shape gain a little. Then once you lose it all you start rebuilding process in muscle.

Dropped 3 pants size in 2 months
From a 64 to a 48 in 6 months, can't wait till I can shop in a real clothing store again. Also a 2x down from a 6x shirt wise and on the last notch of my second belt in that time.

What do you do about your flopping belly?
I just got some under armour compression shirts and they help keep everything in place, and they work great, you want them to be tight. They do have them for women as well, picked it up off of zappos.com. I plan on using them until I can get down enough to get surgery to clean up the lose skin.

Plastic surgery for men
Do these help the mons pubis area at all? What about upper legs? I'm thinking I may have to go for the belt lipectomy when I'm ready so they can get everything but was curious if the TT helped the pelvis area as well.

What BMI do most fitness-enthusiast sleevers aspire to?
Yeah I wouldn't go by BMI it's been shown to be a poor indicator overall. I would have to be 190 lbs at 6"2 to be considered normal weight, I was 215 in high school when I was ripped, I would be like a stick figure out 190.

Any APRIL SLEEVERS? Let me know your progress !
Sleeved 4/29, and down 131. finally in the 200's again and couldn't be happier. Have noticed I plateau a lot more now, but I'm hoping to drop the rest by my 1 year anniversary.

Anyone starting to get a slowdown in their losses?
I lost that much in about 5 months, and the last 2 weeks I was stuck. Figures as soon as I post this I start losing a lot again, so now I'm at 299. Nice to be back in the 200's, so I guess it was just a plateau, but down 130 lbs so far.

How soon should I start documenting to try to get insurance to cover PS?
So I'm only 6 months in but 123 lbs down and I can tell I'm going to need surgery on my stomach area, and possibly legs. What can I do now to get the best shot at insurance covering it? My doctor hinted that I should keep telling him I have rashes in any area I want work on and he'll document it. For people who got the surgery what do they look for when you got yours covered so I can make sure I hit all the right check boxes to give me the best chance. Do they actually send photos to the insurance company or is it just on what the doc has down?

Anyone starting to get a slowdown in their losses?
So I've lost 123 lbs so far, and I'm very happy with my progress. However the last few weeks I've been stuck at 306-308 and very frustrating being so close to back in the 200's. I've been to my NUT and she said I'm doing great with the diet, and I've even been hitting the gym a lot more recently yet no move in the scale. I had thought I'd keep losing at a good pace for at least the first year. I'm curious if anyone else has been experiencing this and if it's a sign that things are going to get much harder from here on out.

Lifting Forums/Blogs etc?
I like reddit a lot, they have a ton of subreddits for this kind of thing. reddit.com/r/fitness, reddit.com/r/loseit, and reddit.com/r/bodybuilding/. There is a FAQ in the bodybuilding subreddit with all kinds of useful info. Not sure they have anything specific to women though.

What are your long term fitness goals
Good topic. Just started the gym again a month ago. Some long term goals: 1. Be able to bench press my body weight 10 times.(Should be easier as I keep losing) 2. Be able to finish a 5K spartan run. 3. Be able to do 50 pull ups, never been able to do 1. 4. Six pack abs.(Probably the toughest goal)

What is it that you hate the most about being sleeved.
I miss drinking with meals, also it makes it so much harder to get all the water I need. As far as people knowing, I was embarrassed about it at first, but the reaction was so positive from the few people I told. I said the heck with it, and now I'm very open about it, so far all the feedback has all been positive. The way I see it is I took the steps I needed to fix myself and become healthy, if anyone has a problem with that, then who needs them. You'll see your confidence will grow as you lose the weight and you won't even care what the haters say.

Side effects 2 months in
I am probably not getting enough water I try to get 8 glasses but usually it's more like 4-6 a day. I don't take any medication but I did have really low vitamin D and B12 before the surgery and was on supplements for that. I am taking those in the vitamins I take now but not high levels like before the surgery.I have a blood test in 4 weeks when I next visit the doctor hopefully that will reveal more. The fish oil sounds like a good idea thanks.

Side effects 2 months in
I am suddenly getting a crazy amount of dried skin on my hands and feet about 2 months in. Also I noticed my memory seems to be a little off, like remembering details like people I just met names. I'm getting enough protein between 70 and 80 grams, and taking multivitamins, B12 and D. Anyone else experience similar?
