  1. *sleeved not sleeced lol
  2. I just requested to join as well. I am being sleeced on July 1 and have about 200 to lose
  3. Oh ok! Thanks! I remember hearing about it, I guess I was just confused what it was used for. I've started drinking protein shakes for breakfast...just to try different ones out. Though I'm afraid my tastes will change and I'll have to start all over again! BTW, if you ladies like peanut butter and haven't tried PB2 yet, you MUST! PB2 is a powdered for of peanut butter...and it only has 45 cals and 1.5g of fat!!! You can reconstitute it to make a PB but I'll be honest...haven't tried that yet cause it scares me a little. But blend it up in a chocolate protein drink? Delicious!!!
  4. Lol still doing well? I bet that cottage cheese was delicious!
  5. Your story is AMAZING and very inspirational! Thank you for sharing. I go in to be sleeved in less than 2 weeks (July 1st) and am excited, nervous, all of the above . Congrats and good luck on your continued journey!
  6. I have a nutribullet. I don't have a problem with the size. Though I'm not eating protein shakes around the clock yet either
  7. Starting to prepare as well . I don't have a strict pre-op diet but did have a headache from giving up caffeine over the weekend! I feel for those that are on a strict liquid diet! Good luck all my fellow July 1sters
  8. I'm July 1st also! Only 2 more weeks! Good luck with your pre-op appt!!
  9. Ok...so I'm an addict! I love diet coke, especially McDonalds diet coke...it tastes the best! But I am just about 2 weeks pre-op (surgery date 7/1) so I decided it was time to go off caffeine! And boy do I have a headache!!!! And for headaches I usually take IBU and no IBU before surgery! I just can't win! Lol. I know this is for the best and I'm going to be giving up a lot more and be in more pain than this but right now I just really want a diet coke! I am determined to do all this by the book so goodbye to diet coke! Thanks for being my friend for all these years! But it's time for me to go on without you and start this new chapter in my life...to a healthier me!
  10. Yes Prilosec is a PPI
  11. Great job!! I'm at 350 and go in to be sleeved on July 1. You're very inspiring! Any advice or dos or donts you can pass along?
  12. How are you feeling?
  13. For my fellow early July sleevers...what are you doing to prepare? Are you buying anything?
  14. So my nutrition class is scheduled but not until 6 days before my surgery. Anything I need to know ahead of time? I've purchased some protein samples to start trying...what else can I do to prepare? I'm anxious but really excited!!
  15. Awesome! That was quick! Keep us updated as you feel up to it.
  16. Glad you're doing well!!!
  17. You too!!! Lets keep in touch and we can get thru all this together!
  18. Thanks for the advice. I actually don't want to wait because I'd have to wait until late oct/early November (because of work). Plus my fiancé and I want to start a family and having to wait the 12-18 months, plus with being older, the extra 5 months means more. I honestly am not worried about eating certain foods. I'm more worries about energy levels. . I think I'm going to go for it! I know complications can happen...and I know I'm going to have to work hard to get my Protein in so I feel "good", but I'm determined and stubborn enough to make it happen lol. Plus I have my seamstress on standby
  19. If the surgeon's office wasn't concerned enough to send you to ER, then I'd say they are sure. You are right...if they thought there was a slight chance of a clot, they would def err on the side of caution. Sorry I didn't mean to worry you more. I do think it was a good idea for you to call today just to check. Glad to hear they weren't super concerned! Hope everything goes well tomorrow and hope you start feeling better!
  20. Hi all...I'm a pharmacist so thought I'd chime in. Antibiotics wouldn't make you winded like that. I too would be concerned with blood clots. The lovenox will help prevent but aren't 100%. Good job on calling your doctor...I'd be interested in seeing what they say as well.
