Six days into my liquid diet...feeling better and down 8lbs. Surgery day next Wednesday!!! The weekend was tough but now back to a busy week and my mind is focused. How's everyone else doing?

My surgery is scheduled for May 25 as well. Day 4 into my liquid diet, cranky as hell but I'm managing. Not tempted by food but my head hurts. I feel bad for hubby and kids. The weekends will be the toughest. May 22 will be tough as well, a double bday I can't miss. My mom and my brothers. We are having a potluck, I'll tell them I ate a lot at home while I was cooking Hope your liquid diet is going well.

I'm on day 3 and my family just finished dinner...it was hard but I got through it. You got this girl!!

Day 1 of pre-op and I've had my breakfast, something tells me I won't be watching a lot of tv today and I'll go to bed early [emoji12] Is anyone using Victoza to help with hunger and cravings?

Can you try any other type of drink? I'm doing boost (diabetic) and Glucerna (Ensure) with the addition of broth, decaf coffee and tea. Make sure you drink your Water too...that can help fill you up. I find that this forum helps a lot too, keeps my eye on the prize...

Today is my last day for a real meal for a while, tomorrow I start my liquid diet. Did you have a food funeral or did you have something high protein low carb? I think I will have high protein low carb and a little ice cream

I had talked to my doctor and asked for a referral to the Victoria clinic, she sent it in and I was in for the bariatric program there. So far I have made 3 trips over and will make 2 more, maybe 1-2 more after surgery. You can get blood work done here and follow up appointments with the internist, she has a Vancouver office as well. If you don't mind the ferry, try a referral to Victoria.

I went through the Victoria program and that has taken a considerably shorter time. It has taken me 10 months to get a surgery date.
