  1. I like the Lean Shakes from GNC. They don't taste so protein shakey....
  2. Sugar free popsicles are a great way to "chew" something. And they count as a "hydrating fluid"
  3. Talk to your doctor. They can hook you up to an IV and get your fluids caught up. An acid reducer might help you eat some. I can't imagine having the regret, but they can help you feel a little better.
  4. Go to Ross. They've got a TON. If dresses right now. I bought some that were two sizes smaller. With the dresses like these, they're flexible and can be worn longer.
  5. I was just saying that it was a fear. A nightmare.
  6. I'm 5 days post-op. I had some complications with vomiting after sugary and didn't leave until Thursday, I was sleeved on Monday. If you've got family around that can help entertain your guests, I'd say go ahead with it. Just rest if you need to. But if you have enough time to reschedule, you might give yourself a few more days.
  7. How do you not stay in the hospital though? I required IV fluids for a couple days and couldn't leave the hospital.
  8. I'm trying to find a low cost, cash pay option for a sleeve. I've seen where there is a clinic in Mexico that charges about $8k but would like to find a US option. Anyone know of a place??
  9. That's awesome. I can't wait for that feeling.
  10. I bought several long "Maxi" dresses so I won't have to worry about wearing pants. And I can't wear yoga pants to work, otherwise i would. LOL
  11. I have not had that one...just the one where all the people who got sleeves find out later that the sleeve gives them cancer. One of the things I didn't like about this surgery was the lack of long term research.
  12. It sounds like things are starting to heal. If they start oozing or making pus, then you wanna call your doctor. But me thinks that's normal.
  13. Start tracking your food. If you've cut out the useless calories and you still aren't losing, then this might be a great next step. It helps to make sure you've been accountable to yourself. And log EVERYTHING you put in your mouth.
  14. I cannot wait until I can eat watermelon. It's pretty much a staple in my house once the summer hits. Watermelon and grapes.
  15. Try some sugar free popsicles. You can chew on those. I've already gone through a box and a half and I've only been home two days.
  16. A pound a day is great progress!! Just keep walking and keep up your protein intake and you might be able to continue to do great. I'm a week out and anxious to see results as well!!
  17. My doctor has me on what's called a "Modified Full Liquids" which is protein shakes and hydrating liquids. I'm allowed tomato soup. And it has been AMAZING. It's been a little chilly here and I'm loving the hot, thick soup in my belly. I sometimes have to be slow about it cause my esophagus will spasm, but it's so worth feeling it go down and the taste. I'm craving grilled cheese, but not to the point where I'm ready to die for it. And it's fat free.
  18. I think that has got to be my biggest fear with my weight loss...I don't wanna loose my boobs. It took two children to make these!!
  19. The countdown is on...two and a half hours to be at the hospital. I'm starving and super excited!!
  20. I haven't had my surgery yet (April 29, 2013) but I've already given my winter clothes away instead of packing them up. My boyfriend is more excited about clothes shopping than I am...but I've already started the purge.
