  1. I don't know why they still do the lap band....seems...like it doesn't work long term.
  2. Omigod.....so I'm 5 days post op, just got back from Mexico yesterday and I've been feeling pretty good...well I had to go to costco today for dog food since my poor kids were starving and the whole experience was super...traumatic. I had to come to terms with the fact that I honestly....don't need to shop there for food anymore. All of the things I used to buy would spoil before I would ever even be able to eat them! Then I saw the carrot cake cupcakes and...I literally broke down in years right there in the bakery department! I have no idea why I was crying over those cupcakes that I knew I couldn't have...they just made me so emotional. Lol! Also the whole time I was in there, I was absolutely terrified that someone was going to bump into me...or run my slow ass over with a shopping cart!!! Lol to answer your question though, we always get dog food. Bottled Water. Trash bags. Movie theater tickets. And naked juice everytime we go to Costco lol
  3. I was swallowing antibiotics in the hospital two days after surgery. I wasn't happy about it lol but I could do it.
  4. It was amazing...once he pulled it out I felt marginally better. I don't know if I was just freaked out by having it and didn't want to move ...or if it actually caused discomfort...some of both I think. The drain was the thing I was most scared of from the beginning!! I work in veterinary medicine and we place drains in wounds daily that have to stay in for sometimes weeks and I'm the one that usually gets the joy of pulling them out and now I know how it feels! I have a lot more sympathy for the fury creatures I have to inflict that on!
  5. Why can't a moderator pull all of these damn threads off? They are super counter productive and I'm tired of seeing them in my current threads list. Just sayin...
  6. I've been trying to sip the chicken broth...I get full sooo fast though. And my sleeve is still kinda sore I think...the popcicles are delectable though lol...I had the ones from room service and from the gift shop, loved both!
  7. Old meat?! What the heck? Lol mine tasted like...fruit.
  8. Holy Christ on a cracker! Best thing I've had in ages! I might be addicted
  9. I can't wait till I get mine out!!!
  10. Did you guys feel better after your drain was removed? I'm hoping once they pull this thing out tomorrow some of my stomach pain will go away! I've been walking like crazy and that does help too
  11. There are like four people (women) on this site that...kinda annoy me. Anytime you say something different or offer a different opinion they jump down your throat. I read that whole previous thread with the "evil doctor". And I agreed with everything you said, so to be honest in my opinion you need not apologize for saying how you feel.
  12. I had the stomach flu all earlier this week! I was soooo sick and miserable. Thank goodness I pushed through it and I'm feeling much better now.
  13. I'm freakin out! We leave tomorrow to head down to the hospital. I'm so glad that I'm having it on the first though. It feels like...a new beginning...like whenever I start a diet or anything like that...I always would start it on the first of the month lol! So I'm glad my life change is happening on the first!
  14. I was thinking about this all last night...and I think It bothers me because of the spin that has been put on it. If it was me and I went down south to have surgery and change my life...but then ended up boning my surgeon...well what a fabulous way to start a new life. And what a story to tell.... Stop making women out to be victims...he wooed her and she did what she wanted to do. When you talk about situations like this and the woman being a "victim"...well it just makes it harder to believe when the real victims come forward. So basically what I'm trying to say is...the op needs to spin the way she looks at this and honestly say, yeah I was the one who boned my hot surgeon four days after my surgery...and now I'm movin on because that's not the type of girl I am.
  15. Keep looking. Do not go to dr almanza. He was one of the first doctors that I was considering and in my research I found more complications from his patients than any other...I just kept seeing them over and over. I also have a friend in one of the Facebook support groups that I am a member of that has had serious complications after her surgery with him. Personally I've read very good things about dr quinones...you should check him out.
  16. No I'm calling bullshit on the way she did this. And the way she's retracting her statements now. ...maybe I'll use a different word...immature? How about...scorned? Also, it's not very nice to stir a pot and start a huge drama and then walk away and say...just kidding I lied.
  17. It was starting to get a little heated the last time I read...that was earlier this morning though. Maybe things changed.
  18. Well...take his power away by putting his ass on blast. Who is he?
