  1. I was told no exercising until I was 6 weeks post op. To me, that sounds about right in order to give the body time to heal.
  2. I drank bottled water that was bottled in Mexico, and ate ice chips from Mi Doctor. I brushed my teeth with the faucet water at both the hotel and the hospital. I had no problems at all.
  3. PCOS = Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome
  4. Wifi works greats there. The hotel is nice and is located in a nice area, as well. I stayed a night there and a night at Marriott. lol
  5. Thanks, pankration! Mi Doctor was a pretty happening place!!
  6. I chickened out back in May. I was all set to go, but ended up changing my mind a week before I was scheduled to fly out. I was super scared and nervous at the time. Now I regret it, but glad that I followed through this time around. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Being reassured always makes one feel better.
  7. I am doing great! I have had nearly zero pain, other than the gas pain in recovery, and I am tolerating liquids well. I flew home yesterday and feel good. So far, everything has been much better than I expected. Thanks for asking! Your surgery is right around the corner -- exciting!!!
  8. Chase, I don't think so. I was on the 3rd floor. Which floor were you on?
  9. Lots of luck being sent your way!
  10. The wifi at the Marriott is limited to only one device per room. So if two people are in the room, only one can connect their device to wifi. I thought that was ridiculous.
  11. Everything has gone SO smoothly. Pickup was a cinch. The driver called right after I landed (we got in about 14 minutes early) and said he'd be there in 10-15 minutes. He picked us up and we came right across the border to the hotel. At the hotel, he escorted us in to check in to ensure that everything was in order. Nissi, the local Med tourism representative, met us shortly thereafter. Nissi met us at the hospital this morning and it, too,was a smooth experience. Everyone has been nice and accommodating. Good luck on your surgery. I think you will be satisfied!
  12. Thanks so much! I went through Medical Tourism and my coordinator was Hazel Ramos. I've been pleased so far.
  13. Thanks y'all! Surgery went well, and everyone has been nice. I've had some gas pain to my chest and left area shoulder, but that's pretty normal. I've been up walking the hall with no issues. I'm glad it's done with!
  14. I'm here, waiting to have surgery with Dr. Cabrera. I'm so freakin' nervous and scared. I'm wondering what I got myself into. I'm sure that's normal, huh? Yikes!
  15. The shake I like the best is Isopure low-carb Dutch chocolate. It's not overly sweet, doesn't have a strong protein flavor, and tastes more like chocolate milk or hot chocolate. The only con is that it seems a bit gritty, but the taste makes me overlook that. It is best mixed with fat free milk, but is decent with water, too.
  16. I will also be doing a two-week preop diet. I start on the 10th and I'm already dreading it. lol. It doesn't sound too entirely bad, though. I hope your headache passes soon. Just remember the "prize" at the end and that will at least make a little more bearable.
  17. Ohhh, that's great! Are you having to start your pre op diet ASAP? Good luck to you!!
  18. You're very welcome! We will be arriving on the 24th, but I'm not sure if I'm staying at the hotel that night or the hospital. It will be good having someone there who will be going through the same thing!
  19. Hi! I'm having surgery on the 25th with Dr. Cabrera. My sister is coming with me and we will be at the Marriott. You are more than welcome to meet up and hang out with us!
  20. Facial size is not indicative of ones overall body size, that's for sure. I've seen many larger women with such thin faces that if i saw just a headshot, I would never imagine them to be overweight. I'm actually envious, lol. I think, no matter how much weight I lose, I will always have a full face. Time will tell!
  21. I was originally scheduled for surgery at the beginning of May, but ended up canceling due to being overly scared and nervous. All I could think about was the "what ifs." I have now rescheduled for September 25th. So far, I am not scared at all. I'm sure that will probably change as the date draws near, but I am doing it this time around, period!
  22. I hope the driver has arrived by now. If not, my coordinator with Medical Tourism is Hazel Ramos and her number is: 1-800-661-2126 ext. 105. Please keep us updated!
