Chicken and beef fill me up for hours.

Feeling Physically drained everyday
It definitely gets a lot better, but make sure you are taking a good liquid multi-vitamin. Your body needs all the help it can get to recover. Also, tons of plain water in addition to your protein. Sipping all day should now be your full time job:)

Funny Restaurant Experience
I just came back from a cruise and this happened at every sit down meal. I kept telling the waiter that all I did was eat so I was never hungry. But, I did have to keep reassuring him that the food was great:)

My enemy food.
Yes. Pork is also hard for me. I would try again in a couple of weeks. I do fine with lean beef.

Horrified by my near-nekkid pictures
I never recognize myself in pictures. Like in my head, I really don't look like that. This is why I rarely take any pics. It dampens my mood... I'd rather think I look cute... lol:)

Well....I did it
Congrats:) Take it really easy for the next couple of days and remember to just keep sipping and walking.

Potassium
Thanks, Fiddleman. That information would be very useful. I just really can't see how we can get the potassium in, given that we eat a reduced amount of food now.

Potassium
I know Salmon and Spinach are high in potassium. Also, bananas, avocados, white mushrooms, yogurt and dried apricots have good amounts.

Potassium
SerendipityHappens: Please tell us how you manage 3,000 mg a day... Even when I drink the coconut Water, I still come under 2,000. Ugh:(

Stage 2 diet, What do you order at a Restaurant?
I stuck to soups when I went out (and took out all the chunky stuff). You can have more stuff later on.

3 months post op

stall and weight gain?!
Ditto to what other people already said. Just keep up with the protein and water as best as you can, your weight loss will pick up when you're body is ready. Don't get frustrated, it will happen.

Crazy cycle
Yes, yes and yes. I would keep an eye on your iron levels until your cycle evens out. Remember we have all these crazy hormones floating around, so until we lose our weight and keep at a consistent weight for a while, it will be a little crazy for a couple of months. Also, surgery is really hard on our bodies. Hang in there:)

3mths Out

Three and a half years later
Thanks for coming back and posting:) It is very informative to hear from someone who is 3+ years out.

Potassium
If we are supposed to get approx. 4000 mg of potassium a day, I can't understand how it is possible to get it from food/drink given how little we eat. Does anyone keep track of how much they get a day?

5 months out

TODAY IS MY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!
You look great! Congrats:)

HUNGRY A LOT OF THE TIME?
I still feel hunger as well, but nothing like pre-op. If I eat denser proteins, I stay fuller for longer.
-
1 month out and I feel like I have no sleeve
If you stick to denser proteins, you will feel more restriction.

pureed recipes please I just got
I was all about the creamy soups during the pureed stage.
