  2. Ha, no wonder they closed that store at my mall!
  3. I'm gonna go with 5 twinkles!!! The whole damn box! And some cupcakes, maybe a cheeseburger, and then I'll top it off with a whole supreme pizza. #1 fatass always and forever <3
  4. I think the drastic change in food intake causes everyone to be slightly bitchy and judgemental. Lol!!

I got a voicemail from my insurance(Aetna) which said she wanted to discuss some incentive program and then it was also a courtesy call for my upcoming procedure and to give her a call back. Has this happened to anyone? Does this mean I got approved? I'm so confused and sooo nervous!!

Thank you all for your responses. It's quite ironic that I just posted this last night and then today I had my first negative opinion from someone about the surgery. Now I definitely understand the choice to keep it private. Not to mention it was a close family member and he was very adamant about getting his point across that he thinks the surgery is completely ridiculous and I need to just get off my "lazy a** and work out". I was literally speechless. It hurt to hear him say that because I do get off my "lazy a**", I work 3 jobs and am also in college. I wanted to just say "thanks for the input but F off!!".
  8. I've been noticing that a lot of people keep their surgery a secret to the point where they won't even post pictures on here. It honestly makes me a little sad for them. Getting this surgery is one of the most exciting experiences for me and I can't imagine keeping it a secret. How can you not tell anyone?! No friends and not even some of your family. Like how is it possible to even keep it from your children? If any of you are in this situation I would definitely like some insight as to why you have made that decision. I'm definitely not trying to judge, just trying to wrap my head around how you've managed and why you made the decision. Thanks!
  9. If you haven't heard anything about it yet then your dr probably doesn't require one!
  10. My egd went perfectly! Definitely nothing to be worried about. I was totally knocked out. The worst part was them sticking me for the iv! Lol
  11. I just had my egd procedure today but my doctor hasn't sent in for my approval yet. He will be sending it in on the 29th once I go for the follow up on the egd. I this normal?! It seems like everyone else gets the egd AFTER approval :/
  12. Thank you for posting this, it really is a huge encouragement. I am still awaiting approval and I most likely will get it due to my high BMI, but I am still super paranoid about getting denied! Thoughts have constantly been running through my mind about what I'm suppose to do if I don't get approved, I wouldn't even know what the next step would be! But this definitely gives me a sense of relief. Thanks again and congrats!
  13. Okay both of these responses make me feel a lot better! Thanks!!
  14. I am getting the egd procedure done tomorrow and I'm super nervous for some reason :/ can anyone tell me what it was like, how long it took, if you were completely sedated, etc?
