  1. Hazel to be honest i have my days some days i'm like YAYY! then others im nervous and scared.. I don't think my mom is excited because shes nervous but i know that she's supportive about it and will stand behind me anyway she can. Today was my first day on the diet and oh man those Protein shakes are so gross.. i had a shake for Breakfast and lunch and (1) meal consisting of boneless chicken and salad.. if i got hungry i ate a piece of sugarless gum.. i don;t like the diet but i know i HAVE to do it you know.. what do you think about the shakes? what shakes are you drinking?
  2. omg you barely ate! that's crazy lol.. i feel like your to go box has even more food than the original plate..How are you healing? have you lost some weight?
  3. Confidence, even though you're traveling alone you sure won't be alone.. i hear the nurses and staff are really nice and friendly. We on VST will be keeping you in our prayers as well. All will be well for you.
  4. Dooter, Safety Harbor is such a nice place i think you'll enjoy it very much.. As i was telling Hazel i'm overly anxious and ready to do the sleeve before my nerves get the best of me you know? . How are you holding up with your sleeve? how much weight have you lost? Can you give me a menu of what you eat on a regular day.. Sorry in advance for all the questions, they WILL be coming lol.
  5. I was originally scheduled for April 26th but i had to change the date as well because it didn't fit my mom's schedule lol.. Im just ready to do this thing and get it over with.. I'm feeling to antsy and jumpy.
  6. Ceji.. STAY STRONG! i know you can do this, everything will go well for you.. Im excited like you and nervous and scared that im putting my family through this but all will be well.. Keep it up.
  7. Hi Jessica! I start my pre-op diet in a couple days so i went out and bought some Protein shakes today and OMG it tasted so gross! but as you stated, i can not back out and let food win! Stay strong and best of luck to you!
  8. As @mokee said you have to be 100% sure that this is right for you. Once you feel at peace with everything that's when you'll know you are completely ready to go through the surgery.
  9. First and foremost congrats on losing 50lbs and getting off your meds! i'm sure you're elated at such a great and personal accomplishment. My surgery is the day after yours and i've got to tell you, every second thought you had came to my mind along with thoughts like " am i going to die", "i've bee so lazy about losing weight that i've resorted to WLS" and the big one " what if i fail at this like i had for everything else weight loss related". Let me tell you after praying about it and seeing that more good than bad can come from this i started to release some of those thoughts from my brain and i feel 100% better about what i'm doing. When i think about how i want to be able to go to the beach and be comfortable in a bathing suit, or, being able to fit into cute non-plus size clothing and many many more things, i KNOW that this is worth it and it will be great. I cant control your thoughts but know that you aren't alone and me as well as most people on here have felt the very same way. Stay positive! i'll be keeping you in my thoughts as we embark on this journey.
  10. Best of luck to you cari.. I'm doing mine on May 3rd in TJ as well.. Whose your doctor?
  11. Confidence who is doing your sleeve?
  12. Hazel I too am heading down to Mexico to get my sleeve done. I'm set for May 3rd and just happy that I'm starting a brand new chapter in my life.
  13. YAYY!!! for you Bella! congrats! .. Please give me all the details? how are you feeling? are you fully functioning or bed ridden? emotionally speaking, are you jumping through the roof? sorry for all the questions.. my surgery is on May 3rd and i want to educate myself as much as possible.
  14. Hi everyone! I've been a member of VST for a few days now and i can't seem to find very many people from South Florida that have sleeved or are in the process. I would LOVE to meet people and make some friends through this avenue as i feel like i will need every bit of support i can get once i'm sleeved. I think it would be very nice to be able to meet up and help one another out post-sleeve. Hope there are many of you out there as I would love to hear from all of you!
  15. i am OVERLY excited! are all my May sleevers feeling the same way? Even though i get a little nervous as my surgery date gets nearer (May 3rd) i'm trying my hardest to remain positive and upbeat. This is the beginning to the rest of my life and what i'm most excited about the most is that i'm doing this at a young age (22) so i'm getting a new lease on life right now rather than later. I'm only saying this because so many people on here are regretting they didn't choose this option much sooner so, i'm just happy that i'm trying to get my butt in gear now! wishing all my May sleevers the best of luck as you all embark on this life changing journey!
