  1. Good luck! everything will go well. i am currently 10 days post op and i'm feeling better and better everyday : )
  2. Jabb, i am 10 days post op and i am JUST now feeling good.. All last week i had a serious case of buyers remorse because i was feeling so crappy. Once i started feeling better and the pain started to go away i slowly realized that i did do the right thing. I'm still not 100% but i'm slowly appreciating the little things ( like drinking water) and looking forward to the rest of my journey. TRUST ME things will start to change very soon. Keep your head up!
  3. I urge you to keep writing! someone may be inspired to change their life once they've read your story. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. P.S.- if any of you think this is "drama" don't continue to click on her posts. VST isn't forcing you to read this.
  4. WINDED, WEAK, SLEEPY, SORE AND TIRED!!!!!!!! I am going to list off the few things that have been going on since surgery and maybe you guys can help me: THIS WILL BE LONG SO BARE WITH ME. First let me start off by saying that the pain is decreasing day by day which is a plus. Now, ever since i got my surgery i haven't been able to drink Water like at all.. It hurts to drink water. I've been living on G2 for the past couple days and it's been a lifesaver but i am craving and yearning for water and it annoys and saddens me that i can't down a bottle or glass of fresh water. My mouth tastes funny and i feel like i have bad breath all the time and i can't kill it with water because MY STOMACH WON'T TOLERATE IT!!! ( can you see how upset i am? ) Second, i've never had acid reflux or dry heaves in my life so i'm not sure what that feels like but the past couple days i've felt like my stomach has been burning and it's been happening a few times a day so today, i went to the store and picked up some acid reflux meds and after popping one into my mouth i haven't had that uncomfortable feeling all day ( Thank God!). My question is, does this last a lifetime? i went into surgery healthy as a newborn and i would like to remain that way. Third thing on the list, my stomach has been extremely gassy. It rumbles as if it's hungry and 98% of the time i am not hungry so i don't know how to get rid of the gas in my tummy. Also, since surgery i haven't been hungry.. like at all. I've tried to have broth but it doesn't taste good and after a couple spoons of it i end up tossing it. My head hunger is nonexistent and cravings are kept to a minimum. My cravings include things like strawberries and pineapples ( weird i know!) . Please tell me my appetite will increase and i will have the urge to eat as oppose to eating/ drinking/ sipping out of pure necessity. I am fully aware that all this will eventually pass but i'm just a bit freaked out and feeling like i shouldn't have done this. Can you guys give me some insight on what i can do to feel normal again? i feel like i can handle anything but not being able to drink plain water is just about killing me! i loved water before surgery and i don't want to have to drink flavored water for the rest of my life. Thank you! Tiff
  5. Lol i know! i wanted to wait till Friday morning to weigh in just to be certain that my mind wasn't playing tricks on me lol
  6. That's awesome!.. i was too impatient and didn't want to have to wait for 6 months of evaluation and doctors visits and so forth. Hey, any little bit helps though right? are you doing it here at home?
  7. 3 more weeks for you yay! once i get back i'll get on here and give all of you all the dirty details lol.
  8. That's the spirit!! i got on the scale this morning and i saw that i lost 4.5lbs even though i cheated. I started trying a bit more since Sunday so i'm not going to fall off the wagon now. Keep going Kell! have a good day. :-)
  9. P.S.- We're SLEEVE SISTERS!
  10. OMG kelsey! i'm going to be there Friday! i would love to meet you while i'm at the hospital.
  11. I totally understand where you're coming from.. i'm nervous about going there as well but i've researched my doctor and i feel good about it. My big day is on Friday. When are you getting sleeved?
  12. Kelly, I leave for Mexico on Friday morning and i get my surgery done that afternoon. Where are you getting yours done?
  13. Kelly! Have you been following me around and watching me! i am in the SAME EXACT BOAT AS YOU! first and foremost we are sleeve sisters! i go in on Friday as well and i too have cheated almost everyday!. The first few days were terrible! to compensate for my terrible eating i've been drinking a ton of Water and i mean liters upon liters. I told myself i wouldn't eat until the surgery so starting today i had everything Protein ( 2 shakes and 2 protein bars( i know i probably shouldn't have eaten that but i NEEDED to chew something.. anything)) and it wasn't as bad today. I finished the box of Protein Bars so for the next three days i will have 3- 4 Protein Shakes a day and will try to consume about 3.5liters of water. I'm praying to God this helps because i'm going to Mexico for my surgery and i would hate to have to reschedule or they do do the surgery and it doesn't go as smoothly because of my stickin' mouth! Kelly WE CAN DO THIS! i will be praying for and keeping you in my thoughts for Friday. Don't give up, it ain't over just yet!
  14. Hi Mary, Nice to meet you! i will have tons of questions once i get my sleeve on Friday. How are you holding up? any pain or discomfort at all? are you going to the gym and stuff?
  15. Hey Confidence! i'm so glad to hear all is going well for you. I read your post the other day regarding the headache you kept having to deal with.. i think it was due to dehydration. How's the heartburn and gas bubble? are you feeling better with that?
  16. Hi Nurse, welcome! i did not know that the University of Miami does sleeves.. Is your insurance paying for it? i chose to go to Mexico because i didn't want to go through months of evaluation and have to wait even longer for approval from my insurance.
  17. Hi Debra, When are you getting sleeved? what part of S. FL are you from? i'm in broward county and would love to meet up post op
  18. Hi Monkee! congrats on deciding on taking this journey! where are you getting sleeved?
  19. Marie, I am scheduled for surgery this Friday coming with Dr. Ponce.. My coordinator is Debra from http://weightnomoreconsulting.com/ and let me tell you she is AWESOME! i am paying $5500 in total. Everytime i had a question or a concern i would call her and she would be very helpful every. single. time. Many people say great things about Trish who is another coordinator that Dr. Ponce uses but she never responded as fast as i would've liked so i went with Debra instead.
  20. Hi MeMe Tampa is a very nice place! where are you coming from?
