I am from Jasper.

I have moderate sleep apnea. I did the same thing with one sleep study then went back for the second night. I am so glad I did. I have woke up every morning feeling amazing!! I had no idea that I had sleep apnea. But I am so glad I did go back for the second study. My dr requirements are the same. Where are you having your surgery?

I called BCBS earlier today. The Customer service lady was denied first for her sleeve. The dr has to send paper work so they review it and then decide.

My surgeons coordinator told me that she submitted mine and Bcbs of al said that they needs more information. I called Bcbs today and they told me that I didn't meet the requirements. Then the ins lady told me that I was denied electronically when the author coor. Sent it. So I am confused about whether I have been definitively denied or if they are reviewing. Is this the way you were handled?

Does anyone have coverage by them or been approved or denied by them?

I did everything on my list. The surgery coordinator submitted via Internet for a pre approval. She told me that they requested records and documentation. Well my impatient self called Bcbs and they said I had been denied because I didn't meet the criteria. Then the lady dug further and said it was denied when the coordinator submitted it. Not sure which way is up??!!? Has anyone else gone through this or something similar? Thanks!

I have just the nose piece and chin strap. It's not too bad. I haven't had trouble sleeping with it.

I used the Cpap last night for the first time. I woke up feeling like a million bucks! I have not felt that good in a long time;-)

My info was submitted for approval. Bcbs needs additional records. I should know something with in 14 days. This is like waiting for Christmas morning when I was a kid!

@bamafarmchick glad to hear everything is going well. I have been curious as to how long it would take to be out and about after surgery. Keep us posted! Best wishes!

@bamagirl32 I am going through that same office. Dr miles is my surgeon. How long were you in the hospital?

Jgcraftmom I understand completely about the onesided phone tag. I have called several times over the last couple of weeks and no one returned my call. I have sent emails because I know how busy they are. She won't even respond to emails???? that makes me angry! As much as these procedures cost you would think the offices would be more professional about returning calls. I have even considered changing surgeon offices!

Ok! I have everything in to be submitted for insurance approval. The coordinator is supposed to submit this evening or tomorrow morning. Well she informed me that she has not received the sleep study report yet; and I will have to wait two more weeks for clearance if the doctor feels I need a Cpap. I did not even know that I had moderate sleep apnea until I had the study. I am trying to get a date at the end of May. June is slam full of obligations. I don't want to have to wait until July. I pray that everything will fall into place????
